I like the teen basket, may do similar for DD and the rolo idea will be great for stocking prezzies

Things will be a little less hectic round here after the weekend, so can knuckle down to 'Christmas craftyness' from next week :)

    Hi all.

as a lerker on here for the past few days I thought i'd say Hi and say what a great post!

I am also a self confessed Pininterst addict! Love the icecream hamper!

I have also started over the last few years to make homemade gifts for peeps including food hampers (home made chutney, crackers, mulled wine pouches, wine, cheese, spice mixes, biscuit/cake/brownie mixes in a jar (with Cookie cutter if biscuit one)and xmas sweets.

I also around september with a couple of my friends host chutney making evenings where we pool all our jars we have collected over the last year and split the costs of ingredients!

I also make things like tiffin and brandy snaps on christmas eve for my family.

I have made stocking and christmas decorations and would really like to try decorating my own wine glasses!

Will keep a eye on this thread and post any cool ideas I come across!

I really want to make one but don't know who for. Shame you can't include the ice cream :p

I am putting a couple of these together this year, one for my brother, his partner and their kids, and a smaller one for the elves to bring my daughters!

I am adding a dvd too, and a little note which will say "chill out! Just add ice cream". I picked up a few tubs of sprinkles, and jars of squirty syrup from home bargs in July. Im going to get the cones, wafers etc in the next couple of weeks, and will probably add smarties, chocolate buttons, flakes etc!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

I think they are fab. I would make one for my boyfriend but he isn't bothered about cones etc, he just likes ice cream on its own in a bowl. I will find someone to make one for one day, as I bought some metallic edible purple ball things from HB today, they have really good stuff like that at the mo.
I think the elf idea is really cute. I would have been so excited to get something like that when I was little.

Oh I love the ice cream hamper idea - I'm really struggling for ideas for my daughters this year - they've had their main pressies already (early I know but they both needed laptops for college and uni and inlaws have gone halves) but I'd like them to have a few nice bits to open on the day.

I've joined a crafters"swapshop" group on FB and have traded some of my work for some lovely hand crafted bits, a great way of getting some unique pressies.

I will be creating some papercuts for my family members (whether they want them or not ;) ) But just need to find the time as I've got lots of orders at the moment.

DH and I don't buy for each other but normally do a stocking each - I really need to start thinking of what I can get to put in there....maybe I should do him a little hamper instead?

You can buy mini ice cream cones that you can eat from the cupboard or put into the freezer... I will get a google and see if I can find them.

It's not proper ice cream, but it's the closest thing for a hamper :T

    Right, I found http://grocerygems.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/new-walls-chocolate-range-cornetto.html
But this isn't the one I was thinking of! It was definitely in a box, that you buy off the shelf. And it said something about putting it in the freezer on the box.... Hmmmmm, will keep looking!
Can't think of anything smart to put here...

Oh they're brilliant! I shall have to look for those - they'd be a great addition to the hamper.

That's such a good idea on Facebook I'll have to see if there is something like that locally on my Facebook.

I have done a papercut family tree for my mom but I'm struggling to find a decent frame.

mummybearx I have seen those little Cornetto things but not tried them. I haven't seen the others though, they are really cool. Thanks for the link :)
