Snowman soup - a cello cone filled with hot chocolate powder,
if you google snowman soup and reindeer food you can get hundreds of different labels that you can just print off. these are the ones i made a few years ago, along with -
reindeer poop - chocolate raisins
Snowman kisses - mint imperials
Santa kisses - jelly beans
snowman poop - mini marshallows
hope these give you all some ideasxx
Yes, it does give me lots of ideas, plus I've emailed it to a friend who's a pre-school teacher, and she's going to use these suggestions for her 'last day of school' activity. Thanks, moosetastic, this is absolutely brilliant!

moosetastic your bags are fab. l just wondered where you get your bags from please.
I don't buy bags, I buy big rolls of cellophane when on offer (usually Lidl for £1 per roll). I cut squares off the roll, put the item in the middle, bring the sides up, tie with a curly ribbon and fan out the top.
If the item's heavy or an awkward shape, I use two squares set one on top of the other at an angle like an 8-point star. For the snowman soup, I'll loosely tie an empty square, then pour in the bits through a funnel.
Having said that, those cello cones look so great, I might just buy them for their looks!0 -
Forgot to say, for place name holders, I make mini-bags of sweeties or chocolates, and write the names on an oversize label (usually cut from last years xmas cards) and set them on the xmas table on the middle of each place mat. I find that despite everyone groaning they couldn't eat another thing, I see them devouring the contents between courses!
One year when £shop had the larger Lindt reindeer, I attached the name tags to the ribbon which is already around the neck. They looked really classy, but can be hard to find at a decent price, our table's usually twelve place settings, so £1 is my absolute limit. If anyone sees them, please post, thank you..0 -

Forget all that, I've just googled cello cones, and I see I can get 50 for £2, with free postage, which will be a lot less hassle and there are enough to share half with my school teacher friend.0 -

I would definitely test one before you do all of them with regular Sharpies as i've heard a few horror stories about them wearing off on the first wash DESPITE what people have put on instructables etc online. Fingers crossed they work for you!
:j I am VERY happy to tell you that I have found instructions which do work for normal sharpies - I have just hand washed my first 2 mugs for the 2nd time and there is no fading/rubbing. If anyone is interested I will pop it on pintrest and link on here later. xx0 -
Hi everyone
Some fab ideas on here. I am feeling Christmassy today (despite having a grotty cold) as I currently have 2 Christmas cakes in the oven.
Last year me and my son made a square Christmas cake cut it into 9, popped roll out marzipan and icing on top and put a little icing reindeer or Santa on top ( bought a packet from Aldi). We then wrapped them in printed cello and tied with a curly ribbon and he wrote a little Xmas message, Aunties and Grandmas and Grandads loved them. There is a pic on my blog last December. We've also had requests for chilli jam, so I am collecting my jars again
