You can't add unlimited broadband to a package described as having a limit. You need to choose an unlimited broadband package.

    Thanks for response.

However i didn't select a package as having a limit. I scrolled down to the bottom of packages where it offers you to build your own bundle. I then selected tv stuff and then went on to broadband section. Here it gave me 3 options and the only one that doesn't change the monthly price on the right of the screen is infinity 1 unlimited. The other 2 options do change it but one is not infinity and the other is infinity but with a cap. Just don't see why it would show infinity 1 unlimited as an option but not add it on or show it on the breakdown of your package when you do??

Looks like you can get it with broadband.

But it looks like it's only if Fibre is not available in your area, so BT reluctantly lets you have it.

Hi Pincher. There are so few people who can get ADSL BT Sport (only) that I didn't want to over-complicate matters by mentioning it. But on demand packages are available on both.

    Hi,
when i placed my order for infinity 1 unlimited and tv.
I went to the broadband options first chose infinity 1 unlimited then added the tv option plus the kids pack.
I had the same problem as you if i tried to order using the package builder.

    Just being a pedant.

They were selling TV over broadband before fibre came along anyway, probably horribly compressed and then still buffered.

Well if you want to go down that route, no they weren't, no it wasn't and no it didn't.

If you want to have a pop at something fine, your entitled to your opinion, but at least have an understanding of the subject first.

What do you consider BT Vision to be?
Are you saying it worked over fibre only?
Not that I had BT Vision, I heard it was flaky and suffered from buffering. Not worth trying, since my ADSL connection was only 5Mbps on a good day in those days.

AppleTV has been around forever, and nobody had fibre when it first came out either.

TVB Anywhere is a set top box similar to Now!. Live TV channels, as well as box sets. I have tried it on an ADSL2+ 13Mbps connection, and it does HD channels very well. No need for fibre, just good ADSL2+.

For some tenants from Saudi Arabia, I set up some free satellite channels for them on Hotbird 13East, but that's not good enough, so I also found them some pretty low res streams (but FREE) on the internet so they can keep up with the soap from Egypt. Yet again, no fibre needed.

I accept that BT would prefer you have BT TV over fibre, but the history of internet TV didn't start from fibre connection.

Over ADSL BT previously offered BT Vision, which was on demand only. Not live TV.

A limited amount of customers today get Sky Sports via ADSL, invite only to existing customers only and existing/new customers can get BT Sport only via ADSL but again only in limited numbers (Multicast exchange required, not in an Infinity area). So its not straight forward at all.
