It was a board guide's comment that the OP took umbrage with - those posts have been removed, together with my earlier observation of the trimming (where I didn't make any reference to who or what).

Good chance it will be on sale in the not too distant future and you will get it for less than £1500. Maybe get something on freecycle to tide you over.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0

Yes I'm most certainly not having much luck at the moment, and to top it off I have a teething baby! Good advice re. holding out for a sale. Just bad luck I guess!
Thanks for all the help.
And to those who my post is infuriating im sorry that I am not as knowledgeable as you in these matters, which is why I thought I would seek help on such a forum in the first place. Let's just hope when you need advice from someone on something outside of your reqlm of expertise you do not come across such ridicule.0 -
I think telling JL that they need to justify their prices to you comes over as rather arrogant. Your perceived attitude could explain some of the reactions you are getting.0

I didn't tell them to justify the price rise I asked them if they could justify a 30% increase in the space of a week I think that is fair enough, I.e. elaborate as to whether the original price was an introductory offer which I did not pick up on.0
-
Upon reflection I may not have explained the situation that clearly in the opening message and it may come off as rude, I certainly wasn't rude in my correspondence withJL I just wanted to know that a mistake hadn't occured and then for them to explain if this was an introductory price.
In my line of work we are obliged to offer clients the product at the lowest price point if they have seen it advertised previously at a lower price.0 -

Never heard of that, sounds rather risky unless it is a very short life product.0 -
It works well for us in terms of repeat custom year on year, brand positioning and building customer relationships. I accept that this business model cannot be applied to all industries or sized businesses0
