Weird office irritations

Got into work this morning (having worked from a different office on Friday) to find that someone has taken the power lead from my computer monitor and replaced it with a shorter lead that doesn't *quite* reach the power socket without laying taut over my phone like a tripwire, pulling my desk tidy and paperwork trays away from the wall, and unplugging itself if you try to adjust the monitor to the correct height.
A colleague worked from my desk on Friday and thought it looked 'weird' but couldn't put her finger on why so it would seem someone thought this was a great way to spend their Thursday evening.
Who spends their evenings doing things like this?! Anyone else having a daft start to their Monday?

If you lend someone £20 and never see them again, it was probably £20 well spent...

No, I'll be emailing our large, well staffed and funded IT department and asking for a longer lead instead of %@&*ing about with someone else's ability to work. It's not difficult. If you lend someone £20 and never see them again, it was probably £20 well spent...0

Happens where i work. I don't have a desk of my own but usually sit in the same place each day though. As it's not "my" desk, it doesnt bother me.0

Things like this irritated me too.
I also worked in IT and when I was out of the office, people based in other locations within the company would use my desk (and any other available) as a hot-desk.
I had a big notice on my chair not to change the settings (I had a special chair because of back problems and my chair was the only one of that style in the office) - height/backrest - but inevitably I'd come back into the office and find it changed.
Some dirty pigs also used to leave half empty cups of coffee on the desk and I even had spilt coffee not wiped up.
Totally disrespectful of other people.
If I knew who had been sitting at my desk - usually one of my colleagues could tell me - I'd ring them up and tell them not to use my desk again if they couldn't guarantee not to make a mess.0 -

(Lest you think this is meant nastily, NdGT was referring to Sir Issac Newton when he made the remark upon which this meme is based. I actually applaud your action in doing this; most people would just let it drift so the inconsiderate oaf would just carry on in his (9 times out of 10) porcine way.)There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

I thought Saddam Hussein was dead...
I hate office slugs too. One particularly bad one where I work...0 -
I used to find that sort of thing too, if I'd been away and someone had used my desk. I've resorted to marking on the desk the outline of where things go, so it's easy to reset if things have been moved.0

Messy colleagues I can cope with, mostly.
My problem is a colleague here who, if you walk away from your desk without locking your desktop - even for the 30 seconds it takes you to fetch something from the printer - will jump on it and sent rude emails to people in your name. The first you hear about it is when the affronted recipient replies, usually very angry. Honestly he has the mentality of a 12 year old.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

That's really funny.
Actually, I did have the reputation at work of not taking any prisoners (so yes, I was a badass) so after a while it was only new people to the company who made the mistake of messing with my stuff.0 -
That's nowhere near as much fun as swapping the punctuation mark keytops on the keyboard of someone who's not a touch-typist.
Or rotating their display in monitor settings so the whole screen's inverted.
Or transposing USB leads so A's mouse is attached to B's computer.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
