Siemens tend to be between a Bosch and a Miele, you can usually get a 5 year warranty too.0

Just don't buy a Chinese cheapie one. Really a bad compromise between price and quality.0

One other thing with wanting something to last long time is spares.
Try finding spares for a 8-12 year old version of the brand you are looking at.
There will be parts that fit so a good service person can keep a machine going but not easy to find when you only want to fix the items every 10 years.0 -
Bosch.
11 trouble free years with mine so far.0 -
I bought a Bosch for £260 over fourteen years ago and for the last four years it has been used by my tenants and it has never had a problem!0

Bosch are not as good now as they used to be they are manufactured in Spain. I've got a Hoover and I wouldnt really recommend it. After about 18 months the dial stopped working and the spin was stuck on 800.
Its got free parts warrenty for 3 years. So I contacted the Helpline and it was £100 call out to be paid before as a one off or £13.99 per month for a year and if they needed to replace it they would. The first call out didnt offer that option. Just to add I called a local repairman who said I was better off doing this as the problem sounded to be the electric board in the machine.
Anyway I got the £13.99 per month option, the man came out and just said the dial needed a spray of wd40!!!.
I felt totally robbed!. After the year was up they continued to take money out of my account when I specifically told then just take for a year. So I had a right hassell cancelling it as well.
In future I'm going to buy a cheapish one for around £200 and then if it breaks just get another.
Also dont get a BEKO they are really bad.0
