    Hi Inglorius,

    Thanks for your post.

Bark01 is right - the exact times of your Economy 7 varies from area to area and depends on the SSC code of your meter. If you want to drop us an email using the details on our profile, I'll be happy to investigate this and let you know the specific times.

With regards to the tariff comparisons, we now advise customers of the cheapest comparative tariff and the cheapest overall tariff on their bills - usually on page 2 or 3. Hope this info helps.

    Thanks

    Jess :)
Npower rep, please note my post about the analogue timerswitches. They are still very common. The 7 hours could be anywhere in the 24 hour period. Looking into a little book and trying to quote the times is hopeless. Also the newer Ampy type digital meters are also drifting around an hour or two. The best advice to all with eco 7 meters is really for each customer to monitor their own meters and work it out for themselves. Only Radio Teleswitch timers are accurate. I hope Npower are doing what Scottish Power are doing ( meter readers checking the times ) because Npower will be facing claims for compensation otherwise. Taking information from a "boots on the ground " meter reader is better than reading a script

Thanks Chumpus, was nt aware they could be that far out, I ve seen them 5 mins adrift, but thats not bad compared to the 12 hours out of some of the old analogues. I m learning stuff every day on here

I thought all time of use meters have a ~+/-5 minute randomisation built into them. A colleague of mine who's been in the industry 40 years told me that once. Something to do with evening out loads over a window rather than all at the same time.
