Looks like you can keep yourself busy today posting your spam post on all the many threads on MSE in which you have no interest.

Better to keep yourself occupied somehow. (MSE provides this service to you FOC.)

And why in the name of all that is holy you would think the EU are going to march over the hill and sack council chief executives the length and breadth of the land is beyond me.

EC = The Electoral Commission... mentioned in full in the original post.

What are you on about ?

I read the thread because i was interested to see what it was about. After reading it and reading about the new EC procedures, i decided i didn't give a stuff about who sees my information. My opinion.

You reply doesn't even relate to the content of the thread !

My husband just had another letter from the council yesterday, saying that there was an error on the original letter, and he will be on the open register unless he rings and tells them otherwise - Newcastle City Council.

We've just received our letters (Nuneaton & Bedworth) - "Your details are on the open register. To be removed... " etc

We have ALWAYS ticked the box to stay off it.

My email is about to be sent

Thanks to OP for this thread.

We come under East Cambridgeshire and their letter states "your name and address will be included in the open register unless you ask for them to be removed"

I have just emailed them so will see what they respond with. I notice a neighbouring council, Fenland, have a form on their website you can fill in.

We had this letter a few weeks ago and I was furious when it said we were put on the open register. Turns out it was a mistake by the printers; we were not put on the open register and we have been sent an apology for the error. So I wouldn't immediately panic.
