Are you interested in going on a date with her? If not, does it really matter what she's trying to say and how she says it?
Well it does matter to me, hence the question, I'm a bloke as you guess and I will ask women about an aspect of a woman if I don't understand it, there is no point me asking my male friends .
The last couple of evenings I have been indoors, so I will go on a date, that is where the interest would come from, however some use the phrase 'interested in me' as in the bloke seeking a life long relationship out of a meeting. I couldn't see that from a picture or two and a few lines of a profile without meeting and getting to know a person.0 -
I did and have, that is when she was on the defensive of " I have my own money" , PS I'm the one almost of saga age, she is in her 50s
Not quite sure what counts as saga age these days I started getting their offers when I hit 50..bit too soon really as I am still 17 I the head...0 -

Heh heh, it is 50 I am talking about.0 -
I'd just assume she wants to go on a date.
So meet up, ask her to suggest somewhere and pay half at the end. your profile sounds like its pretty clear you go dutch and thats pretty common anyway for first meet ups off POF, you are 2 strangers, you either buy rounds (if in a pub) or split costs if meal/cinema.0 -
Am I the only one who thinks this is a VERY strange thread?!
"I will take her out but I'm not 'financing' her, and I don't want her to touch me." :undecided
Why are you even bothering?
I have had friends (male and female) in the past (and boyfriends) that have gone out with me and paid for the meal or drink or whatever. (And then next time I will pay.) I don't think I have every had anyone say 'I will tolerate you but I will not finance anything you have.'
It's just all so odd.
Am I right in thinking you are on a dating site?
What is it exactly that you're looking for?
Because frankly, a man I had just encountered or met, that flat out says to me 'I'm not paying for ANYthing for you' would be deleted from my life instantly. Not that I expect it from men, but there is just something tacky and nasty and offputting about a man who says that. (To me anyway.)Proud to have lost over 3 stone (45 pounds,) in the past year! :j Now a size 14!
You're not singing anymore........ You're not singing any-more!0 -
Hmmmm – I think it depends on what she has said!
I have said in the past to guys I have been chatting with on dating sites ‘so when are you going to take me out for a drink?’ this doesn’t mean that I expect them to pay for everything (I work and so am happy to split bills) but I like to get across the point that after a certain time of ‘chatting’ its expected to go on a date – I also like to think its still nice for the guy to ask the girl!
At the end of the day, I go on these sites as I want a boyfriend – not a penpal.0
