Do you want to go to MSE Balti?........Lets go together & split the bill.
Will you take me to MSE Balti?........You're paying;)
Is that the kind of thing you meant?:DAutism Mum Survival Kit: Duct tape, Polyfilla, WD40, Batteries (lots of),various chargers, vats of coffee, bacon & wine.0 -
This is someone that has been on my case from POF , so no I don't know them in real life.
When I refer to someone as being on my case, it is because they have become an aggravating and unwelcome intrusion. I wouldn't be rushing to go on a date with anyone that made me feel that way.The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -
Perhaps she wants to feel in control of the situation, hence her asking you to go on "her" date?
Are you sure you're not overthinking this? You're going Dutch and you've established that jumping your bones isn't on the cards, so why worry about the sentence construction of the invitation?0 -

Sounds complicated I am a great believer in speaking in simple terms and making sure there are no misunderstandings. As almost Saga age she may just be using the old fashioned terminology for dating which used to involve men inviting women out...My advice just tell her you will meet her but she need to bring her purse...0

There is no rush Marisco, she 1st made contact in January (had no profile pic initially) and mms a pic with about 6 ladies on there, so I didn't bother to reply, then months later she messaged again from a new account with a pic on there, when I suggested she send a clearer pic, that is when I realised it was the same person as the number was in my phone.
As replied to Patty though, it's not a case of I cannot afford to take someone on a date.0 -

I did and have, that is when she was on the defensive of " I have my own money" , PS I'm the one almost of saga age, she is in her 50s0 -
Are you interested in going on a date with her? If not, does it really matter what she's trying to say and how she says it?0
-
Well, if you're happy to go on a 'dutch' basis tell her so.
If she REALLY wants to meet you she'll be happy to pay up - if not then you know where you stand!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
