IGNORE the debt collector drivel.
Just do not ignore a court claim; those must be defended. But they do NOT come from debt collector call centres!
People think there is always a "next step", sometimes you just stop digging.

For anyone who gets to page 3 of this thread and hasn't got the message, sorry, but there is little hope for you.
Maybe pay up, and then get on with the rest of your life! They will have absolutely mugged you. :mad:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Apologies in advance if someone asked the question but i have tried searching and did not find the definite answer. We moved house so only weeks later collected old mail as we didnt expect anything. We have changed the addresses in DVLA but clearly few days after the PCN was sent to us. We missed the chance to appeal. I tried appealing on their website but it says its with debt collection agency. So what now? Shall we still appeal saying we havent had the letter as DVLA took too much time updating the records? Write to them only to change the address? If we dont tell them now about the change of address the debt collectors letters will be going there and eventually court papers as well. Please advise?0

Ignore debt collectors.
Certainly never pay any company to pointlessly reply to a PPC or debt collector (check reviews on Trust pilot first...before using any company for anything).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
