Vectone to Vectone Free international calls: UPDATE

Hi Guys. My boyfriend and I have started using Vectone and we get the calls and texts free. It says on their website that international calls are free as well but he's has just gone away and when I ring him I get the engaged tone all the time. I know he's not using his phone as we are speaking on the landline at the same time as I am trying to ring him with the Vectone. Has anyone got any idea about this ? I've e mailed Vectone twice this week and they say they will respond within 24 hours but that hasn't happened. Thanks for any advice.

Best advice with any big company issue these days is to take to twitter - they seem to respond fastest on there (resist any attempts to take things private via DM - provide the personal details via DM if requested then confirm that you have done so via public tweet)!Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0

Sign up - free & takes no time at all. DM is direct message, their term for PM (private message) - I don't know what FB would call it (yes I am one of the few not to use Facebook).

Back on track, could it be that he does not have roaming enabled? Can he call you (even if you do not answer)? What about texts - can he receive texts?Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0

Yes, he's called me and it works and I can send texts to him (he doesn't like to do text messaging, but I'm sure it would work).0 -
Would you mind if I tweet them on your behalf? Along the lines of a friend on Vectone is trying to call her BF, also on vectone, but roaming - constantly getting the engaged tone.
PS Re-reading the OP, you do realise that he will likely be charged to receive your call (about 8p/min in EU/EEA). It is free to call an international vectone number (can't remember the other vectone countries, so will use France); a UK sim in the UK can call any vectone sim in FR for free, but a UK sim in FR will be charged roaming charges to receive that call.Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0 -
Terms and Conditions say free calls dont apply when roaming.
