I am there again & Three is giving me 3 or 4 bars out of 4 on H+ (it is a 4G phone, so still not there yet, but still on the road map for 4G in 2014). I am getting 0.04 Mbps to 0.15 Mbps (most often 0.07 or less) & it is unusable - upload is fine - generally 1.25 to 2.5 Mbps. Tried tweeting Three (I struggle to understand strong accents, hence don't fancy calling). Their Twitter team have been slow off the mark this time (after I praised them). Seems that they are still replying to Tweets from Saturday - won't hold my breath!!!Frozen_up_north wrote: »I visit HU17 every month, just to the east of the Molescroft Inn, on the north side of Beverley. The 3 signal is very strong and no issue with data on it at that location for me.
Have you tried complaining to 3?Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0 -
Are you visiting on a weekend? I was in Molescroft a couple of days ago (Tuesday) and data speeds were well down on what I normally get. The likely reason could be due to the kids being off school at half term. I normally visit on a weekday morning which is usually a quiet time for data use.I am there again & Three is giving me 3 or 4 bars out of 4 on H+ (it is a 4G phone, so still not there yet, but still on the road map for 4G in 2014). Last year in a seaside town I noticed the same problem, on a Saturday evening the data rate was awful. I guess it's down to the popularity of Three, they need to catch up and provide more bandwidth at peak times, but there again I guess it's always going to be a struggle for any of the networks due to the popularity of smart phones and dongles.0 -
I am not (generally there for anything from 3 to 10 days anything from 3 to 10 times a year - depends how many times folk are ill/in hospital/worse :undecided). When I was last there (early October) data was crud. On both EE & Three it was much better at like 5 or 6AM - would tend to suggest it is over-subscription & further on a shared mast! I did contact three, who said there was an issue that would be resolved in a week (same that EE told me on my last visit) - they text in mid-Oct to say resolved, so looks like the fix wasn't much cop! Will report back next visit.Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0
