Agree, but at my in-laws (HU17, Beverley), 3 is unusable for data (has been for 6+ months probably a year)
I visit HU17 every month, just to the east of the Molescroft Inn, on the north side of Beverley. The 3 signal is very strong and no issue with data on it at that location for me.

Have you tried complaining to 3?

Thanks for that Frozen. I had to be honest assumed that it was oversubscription at it's worst. In-laws live just off the far end of the molescroft bypass (near the train line). We used to use 3 MBB all the time there (some great data days, some slower data days), then suddenly one visit the signal was fine/perfect, but nothing data wise - could be talking like using a 14.4k modem or worse! We now just use EE (until EE let us down, then we tried everything). I will (had been thinking to) complain to 3 - I have a one plan & want to use it! Take it you have not seen 4G yet on three in Bev? EE 4G coverage stops on the Tickton side of the roundabout at the in-laws end of the bypass according to the checker.

PS For a company with such woeful customer services, I think their twitter team is quite good (even if a few of them could do with a better patter).

I switched to 3 after 7 year break from EE (which was problems with everything everywhere) - must say 4g on 3 is just like being on wifi sometimes - shame I only have the sim only deal with 500MB paying £6.90 a month. It went up to £7 a month day after I signed up.

I would stick with 3 for now - other networks seem not too clued up for 4G yet.

Well worth 10p per month to be able to tether even if it is only 500Mb.

That is funny, you know though, when making jokes is writing it's best to use lots of :rotfl::D:p icons.

Someone might think you were seriously trying to say an O2 derivative MVNO like Tesco was comparable to Three for overall service quality and value :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

It all depends upon what you mainly use a phone for. I don't need 4G, but getting the occasional telephone call actually reaching me is quite important. :rotfl::rotfl:

3 doesn't do it for me where I live. :( Neither do we get 4G :(:(

O2 gets calls to and from me 100% of the time. :T So does Vodafone :T:T. EE? :(:(:(:(

3 customer service??? It may have improved, but certainly the complaints on here about the off shore customer services were legend. Is it really that good now? Improved since May 29th?

Good for them - now, if they would only bring their call centre back to the UK....

For what it's worth, I have a number of PAYG sims that came with various phones I bought from CPW over the years. Voda, EE (for Orange Wednesdays), 3 and my main one O2.

Sometimes carry the 3 phone and my main O2 phone at same time. O2 wins hands down for most reception. :T:T:T

And for no hassle abroad, Voda and O2 are brilliant. Not my experience with 3.

Three is now rated best for customer service/complaints. Even better than O2.

I'm in shock - for me three customer service (admittedly in the past) was always the worst. This includes losing all record of me giving 30 days notice on one occasion!

Three have always had a bad rep for customer services but they've done well over the last couple of years to go from bottom to top. I've certainly noticed a difference

They do seem to have changed course (I noticed things like selling unlocked phones) - I don't think they are doing the same retentions deals either unfortunately (from what I read).

    Hi to all,
Does anyone know if i NEED to send back my handset after agreed cancellation in advance of my 24 month contract for over a 2 month network problem in my postcode area
have been a Three customer for 5 months, the last 2 without any network signal in my postcode area.
The customer service manager said that it is their fault and it probably wont be working for at least an other 30 days and if i wish i can have a free contract cancellation. Do i have to send the hanset back ?
    Thank you.
Why are you asking the same question again when you asked the question on the other thread and had replies on there ..... http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=66571179&postcount=47
