Hi I was phoned by Vodafone and offered a really good deal if I took out another line on my account. I got the girl to ring me back the next day after I'd discuss it with my husband. When she rang back I agreed to it ( iPhone 5s, 5gb data unlimited texts and calls & 6months free sky sports) I put her over it all again and wrote it down! Today when I checked my Vodafone account I'm only getting 2gb data and no sky sports! I rang 191 and the dozy girl told me I couldn't have sky sports as I need 4g and the iPhone 5s doesn't work with 4g! She said she'd put me thru to someone but when in hold an announcement came on saying if I hold on I'll be charged £1 per min so I hung up! I know exactly the time I agreed to the contract and I know it wasn't what they're saying now. What do I do? I have 14 days to return the phone but the deal I was offered was really good! Have Vodafone broken their contract with me? Surely they're calls are recorded! Any help will be very appreciated!

5s does do 4G, ring them back and ask them to sort it out.

On Monday when the phone arrived with SIM card it kept saying no connection. When I rang vodafone they said I had no account for the phone?! Then they rang me back and said it's ok it's all sorted now. They must have just connected me up to any contract. But not what I had agreed- it was definitely 5g of data not 2g. All the vodafone customer service guys seem completely dumb

    Hi TutuBelle,

Thanks for making me aware of this.

Visidigi is correct, the iPhone 5s is a 4G phone.

"Does do 4g" is a pretty much meaningless statement.
MSE article (2013): Were you mis-sold an iPhone 5?
Both O2 and Vodafone's 4G services will launch on 29 August, .... But both providers say their iPhone 5 users won't be able to use the new service ...
Only EE's 4G network uses frequencies which can be picked up by the iPhone 5.
I don't know if Apple have modified their phones since last year.

You are getting confused, your quote relates the iPhone 5, this thread is about the Phone 5S which is a different model, the 5S does indeed do 4G on all the networks.
