Whilst you are still receiving WTC your options are limited. Both ESA (Income Related) and Income Support will take the WTC into account i.e. they will take the amount of WTC off anything you might get on ESA or IS. However, simply being in receipt of one or other of these income related benefits opens the door to other assistance such as Housing Benefit.
ESA is your main option as it continues to pay NI Credits even if you don't get a cash payment. IS is more 'brutal' as you qualify for payment or you don't qualify at all.0 -

the childcare element of wtc is paid to meet a specific cost, so really shouldnt be included as income. but i dont know hardly anything about tax credits. but this is a grey area as the benefits are overlapping.as you said though ... if the OP is paying £40 a week that would mean her childcare costs must be in excess of £130 a week.
she would be receiving 70% of those. after the op's $40 that would leave tax credits paying about £90 a week.
yet the op says her wtc are £100 a week.
on an income of under £100 a week, surely her wtc would be more than £10?

in that case, her wtc would wipe out any entitlement to income related ESA.
but as i mentioned ... her housing benefit and council tax support should increase.

By my calculations, the OP should be on about £300 WTC every 4 weeks and CTC of £253 every 4 weeks plus then 70% of her childcare costs.
Maybe need OP to confirm figures to make sure her award is correct.
I'm on 303 every 4 weeks working tax
143 a week child tax which is also the 70 percent nursery money
And then 100.08 a week wage
Also 20 a week child benefit
His nursery is 40 pound a day mon weds fri which I work I can't put him half day usually because my job is 7.30 until 9.30 with some gaps I only get paid the time I'm in a clients house I don't get paid for walking between houses and sometimes I have hour breaks but obviously can't have my son for one hour. The job isn't ideal but a jobs a job.
36 a week I put towards nursery then I pay council tax and rent aswell x0 -
seems to me you dont have an awful lot of choice at the moment.
you either stay employed and keep your wtc and get more housing benefit and council tax support. you would need to either pay for your childcare out of that or remove your son from nursery. obiously then there would possibly be an issue resuming childcare when needed.
or you stop working... stop your wtc and childcare and either claim income support or ESA. you would receive full housing benefit and council tax support.
income support would be £72 a week, ESA would have the opportunity to rise to £100 a week but only if you pass the assessment.
either way, the childs father should be cintributing to his upkeep.
is there a reason why he isnt?

Yes everyone with spd will have their own range of pain-free movement. Some can manage well whilst others are in agony. I couldn't get up the stairs.Making £1,000 plus every month from home :T0 -

Hi everyone thanks for all your advice. I just rant tax credits who checked my claim and said based on my claim they do not need to be Informed if I am on esa as esa acts as a wage for 28 weeks after this my working tax will end.0
