Washing machine not spinning

when this happened to the one Zanussi I had in my old flat it turned out something was stuck in it, repairman thought it was an adult sock but couldn't get at it to be sure, but he and the landlord I had at the time agreed it would of been to expensive to get repaired as would of been a lot of work taking the whole thing apart to try and find what the hell was wrong with it, so landlord replaced it. I miss having a landlord!! dreading anything like that happening again.
