    Vofs007, just read the thread I believe you were involved in on the BT forum. It's a shame BT haven't seen fit to give access to the one you had in January to everyone as you suggested there.

    As far as BT are concerned, what they say goes. The quote I received was "If the usage monitor says you used it, you must have done" They were not interested in listening to anything else.

    We've only had BT Infinity since the start of May - so I've been keeping a keen eye on our usage.

    May = 21GB
    June = 35GB

    On the 8th of July our usage showed up as 33GB. I phoned up BT to ask if they could shed any light on it. I was told that it was not possible to find out why our usage was so high, despite how we were using our devices being no different from May & June.

    Since after 7 days we had already used 33GB, I ended up upgrading to unlimited (I was on the 40GB cap). Our July usage reached 61GB.

    I made the proactive step of upgrading to remove the 40GB cap - I didn't get charged for going over my allowance, but I am now paying more for the uncapped service.

    I wonder if I can now tell if my reported July usage has been updated to a lower figure - and if so if BT would allow me to drop back down to the 40GB capped service that I would have continued on if my usage hadn't been inflated.

    Note that BT have now withdrawn access to the online monitor for unlimited customers.
    However you can still get your usage figures for the last 12 months and the last 31 days by contacting the helpdesk.
