Oh dear poor Oz,healing thoughts winging to him,and hugs to
    FurrybeastOz,and also Dumpling.

Not posted for a few days, just seems to have been hectic.DGS 8mths has got chickenpox and was quite poorly over the weekend, though he's a bit better now but very spotty poor lamb.We also got a call on Sat morning telling us DH Auntie had died.It was expected as she had pancreatic cancer but still sad as she has been our 'mother figure' since both of ours died.

I went to a service in town this morning remembering the start of WW1.Thought I'd go as 2 of my Grans brothers are buried in France. It was very hot in the sun and there were some army cadets on parade. One keeled over & while he was being treated at least 2 others I could see fainted too.

Just been told I've not switched the Remoska on with mine and DH chicken breasts :( DSons have had burgers and finished their meal.
DNiece and boyfriend have been up this afternoon with DGN who broke his leg, they've got him a wheelchair now so came out for some fresh air.

Right better go and sort tea out xx

Thankyou all for your kind messages. Have him home - he's stressed out but was happy to see us. They had him on the drip all day but said he was getting more stressed - think he thought he'd been abandoned as he is a rescue.

Thanks to his fur he only has two shallow bites. Antibiotics and lots of TLC coming up.

    Good morning everyone

Well I've had a 'wet and weepy' weekend as I've tried to come to terms with my diagnosis. I'm going to have a little moan here so feel free to skip this bit! Most of the people I've spoken to about it tell me that it is 'probably a good thing' that I have diabetes now as it will force me into a healthier lifestyle :mad:. I feel very upset by this and it must show in my face as they hastily back pedal. I know I had a rubbish diet so I suppose I do deserve it but it is still a very hard thing to come to terms with, especially in the early days when I have little information or support. End of moan.

Dumpling some people are so spiteful
You do not deserve diabetes, you do not deserve to be sneered at, it is very hard to come to terms with and true friends should be trying to help you, not put you into a deppressive state
Go to your GP and push for the desmonds course, diabetic clinic, retinopothy clinic, podiatry clinic and access to a dietician. It is in the NICE guidelines that all those diagnosed with diabetes must be offered these things
