Thank you for the lovely welcome BW - I also have fairly recently changed to able to view mortgage online alongside bank accounts, and have been making tiddly-widdly MOPs to keep nice and tidy round numbers XFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D

Morning
Lovely sunny day here. Just waiting for a load of laundry to finish and then I'm going to head out for a drive to make the most of it.
I've been good and got my chores done early today... including the dreaded ironing.... so can head out guilt free
Also opened a new current account to get some interest as I've found myself with some additional money following a recent bonus at work.
In other money news, following the remortgage, I've worked out that my daily interest rate has gone from £8.31 to £3.96 :T
Have a super Sunday

Exciting news today...(well for me anyway)... as I've registered so I can view new mortgage online...and....I've made my first OP :j The other good news is that the balance updates instantly :T
Balance transferred to new bank was £78,670.03. So I made an OP of £20.03 as a test payment to round down to £78,650.
Still waiting to hear what my new payments will be but I'm confident they should be more than £125 less than I was paying before (a bit more if I am lucky).
Just caught up with your diary, and found your comments above were very similar to minebut when i o/p its not updated until a couple of days later
Nice to see the test o/p - a bit like me all neat and tidy now - Magic button or OCD :rotfl:
Can't quite believe they didn't tell you what your new payments would be. When i remortgaged i asked what the new payments would be, then worked out how much I could afford thus dictating the years. In other words what I was saving I just added onto my monthly payments.
Can I ask, did you reduce payments or are you going to o/p the savings you are making, and did you reduce the years.
Keep rounding down, I always feel so much better after rounding down:)Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -

I think I've solved the mystery why I'm still not MF after all these years, due to using the TD:smileyhea with internal light (GG where are yoooooo?) rather than iron. Ooooops:oFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

They did give me an indication at time of application. However, that was 6 weeks before it was due to change and I would have 1 more mortgage payment come out, plus whatever OP's I had to add. In the end because they missed completion date, I had a second further mortgage payment go out with the old bank. Therefore what has now been taken as drawdown payment is quite a bit different to what they indicated on. I could find out if I called them but frankly I've spent enough time and money on the phone to them already when trying to sort out their recent mess up. So I've decided to wait for the letter in the post to find out the actual figure.A_Frayed_Knot wrote: »

The standard payments will have reduced from the amount I paid before. However, I plan to OP the difference between them. I left the term as it was this time but may look to change it when I remortgage again in 2 years - will have to see what happens!0 -

Hey NP - if I had a TD with an internal light :smileyhea then I might also forgo ironing0 -
Hiya BW. Sorry to hear that you've had a horrible time at work
I hope you passed on the lurgey to the person who doubted you (purely so that the can prove how resilient they are, of course
). Fab news on your interest reduction and I'm pleased that you've finally got your mortgage transferred...hope you had a mini choc and wine celebration once it was completed.
Hmmm... a tumble drier with an internal light? Think I'd rather have chocolate. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Have a good evening.

That's a great daily interest reduction! How does that affect your MF date? I can't view my mortgage online which is disappointing as I really thought FD would provide it (I think they only offer it for offset mortgages?)
Grrrr to the colleague. Look after yourself to avoid a relapse.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
