Had a disappointing day on the personal front. Someone I trusted has treated me quite badly and I feel disappointed and let down.
Hard not to dwell on things sometimes. However, I'm trying not to let it take over and I've been reminding myself that I do have several lovely (and trustworthy) friends elsewhere.
Still no money news which is also frustrating0 -
I didn't sleep too well last night as couldn't switch my mind off...however I have felt better (or at least less ugh!) as the day has gone on
No MOP news but I did receive a £5 survey payment in the form of a e-voucher today :T
My Mum called me earlier to say that my Dad got caught speeding today. He was travelling in a unfamiliar part of the country (although no excuse) but he doesn't normally speed and I'm betting he's well peeved. It will be interesting to see if he fesses up to me
The weather today hasn't been quite as warm as promised in my corner of the world. However, it's still not cold and after the last few dark cold months is still a welcome relief0 -
Good Morning
I gave in and transferred £10 as an OP to the mortgage... for no other reason that I felt I needed to do something to move it on :rotfl:
I have updated my spreadsheet for March - bit behind as I was away for Easter. I have knocked another 2 months off (thank you work bonus! :T) which means I have now officially knocked off 2 years in total :j Also I am on target to get below £85K and stay there too once this months interest payment gets added
Survey payments are frustrating at the moment. I'm completing plenty but seem to be miles away from payout on nearly all of them. Guess just need to be patient eh
Have a great Saturday0 -
I have been reviewing my Gas & Elec. I'm currently on a fixed deal that is supposed to be until March 2017. However, I've had an energy alert from Mr Lewis' energy club that suggests I can save around £200 a year by changing to another deal with the same provider. However, the new deals are only fixed until either June 16 (cheapest) or Feb 17 ( bit cheaper).
I wasn't sure whether it was best to change now and review again later or whether to stay on the current one because it's fixed for longer (and I prefer the comfort of fixed) There are no charges to change deal.
Does anyone have any advice or comments please? All appreciated
Thanks - BW0 -
Well despite almost 200 views  no-one shared any thoughts... so I have gone ahead and changed the tarrif to the cheapest one. 14 months is a long time in the world of energy and I can review again later if need be (there are no penalties for changing)
The weather whilst cooler and breezier has remained fine so I have cleaned my front windows as they were a bit of a state and I was tired of looking through the dirtI have done several other garden and house jobs too.
Now having a well deserved sit down, although there is a tortuous smell of gammon pervading the house as I have a joint in the slow cooker0 -
Hi Bookworm (got your name right finally
!)
I can't offer any advice regarding switching energy suppliers, we had a very bad experience a few yrs ago and as a result DH is wedded to BG - I do sometimes wonder if we could do better so I will be interested to hear how this works out for you.0 -
Hi Pushkin
I haven't changed providers - only swapped tarrifs with the same one. However, all seems to have gone smoothly so far. I have also swapped tarrifs before and had no issues

Phew can't believe it's Thursday already - this week has been busy
On the plus side it's means the weekend is almost here
I read on someone's diary this week that someone recommended Astonish mould cleaner - and that you can get it in £ shops. I just wanted to say thanks for the tip - saved me a pretty penny :T I can't remember who said or or whose diary so I am hoping they see this instead
No money news *sigh*0 -
A very tired BW tonight
Just stopped in to report a £1.70 OP from a cashback payment.0
