Ah, but what a highlight it was :D,

    Apologies in advance...depressing post warning...

Feeling a bit blue and generally in a bit of a flunk today

At new year, I had decided this year was the one in which I was going to lose weight and generally eat better.....which for the most part I have been able to do. I had quietly set myself the goal to lose a stone by Easter. I know that isn't much particularly when compared to some people around these parts who are going great guns with weight loss - but it's more than I would have ever managed before. Well as of today I have reached that goal (with a week still to go!) and even that isn't enough to lift my mood...

I've tried all the usual things to distract myself but can't seem to shake off the clouds today...

    :(

    No OP news.
In what could have been a NSD...I have ordered some books from a certain website beginning with A and ending in N. Although I did go via a cashback site so not a total fail there. I have decided the books can be my Easter egg to myself this year.

Hi Bookmark - firstly - well done on the weight loss - I too have been trying to lose weight and although I've increased my exercise and am now doing 10,000 steps a day am still eating too much and haven't lost any. So although it might not lift your mood today I say well done - it's inspirational to read of others who succeed and I'm sure in days or weeks to come you will feel more positive about what you have done.

Similarly I also get what I call 'funk' days where I just feel blue and want to stay in bed. No specific reason for it, I wouldn't call it depression but I guess some people may be genetically wired that way.

Hopefully a good nights sleep and you'll feel brighter tomorrow.

    xx

    Thanks Pushkin :)

Although not back to normal, I do feel a bit less blue than yesterday. I'm just going to try and get on with things today

I have been doing a tad more exercise but it's definitely cutting down on food and eating better than seems to have been a big help for me. Keep at it - it will happen.

Hey BookWorm (have checked this is correct ) what books did you order then? I am an avid reader, mainly thrillers like Robert Goddard, Peter Robinson, Jonathan Kellerman.

I recently watched Wolf Hall which I loved so am currently reading the book which I am finding pretty hard going to be honest. What sort of things do you read?

The books I tend to read most are supernatural, horror and crime... although I will try almost anything.

The ones I ordered yesterday are The Skin Collector by Jeffrey Deaver and Otherworld Nights by Kelley Armstrong

I couldn't get into Wolf Hall. I series linked it and watched one but ended up deleting the rest. Sounds like I won't bother with the book either from what you said
  • Well done on the weight loss BW :T:T:T Hope you are feeling a bit better today?

    Be kind to yourself.
