:( I'm afraid the relative that I mentioned a few weeks ago sadly passed away last night.

    So today's feelings are bittersweet....

I've been reviewing the end of year figures:

    OP total - £3,931
Mortgage balance now - £87,694.68 (down from £94,591.34 at 01/01/14)
    LTV - 76.25% (down from 82.25%)

I know the compared to many these are small amounts. Howevever, it still means a great deal to me, not least because I am doing this by myself. I feel like I have done this without being too OTT and still having some semblence of a life as well.

The challenge for this year then is to see if I can at least maintain the same level of OP's (although if I can beat it so much the better!)
I'm due to remortgage in March 2016 and if I can do the same again then I should be below 70% LTV which would be a great help.

There are still area's I can improve:

    - not spending so much on cc's and being tempted. The last quarter of the year was bad for me in this respect. Although I have paid it off - savings did take a small hit to do so

    - food spending - this is another area I can improve on as have got lax here too

    Surveys:

In 2013 I managed to receive survey payments (mix of cash and vouchers) of £653.55 which I thought was brilliant.
I'm therefore extra pleased to report the 2014 total is £896.65:T I don't know if I can beat it again this year but will see what happens

    Bring on the year!

    BW :)

Hi BW - I am very impressed by the amount you earned doing surveys. I made a grand total of £20 in 2014 (Aug to Dec) which pales into insignificance.

Your update inspires me to try a bit harder in 2015.

My figures are lower than a lot of folks on here but I'm pleased with it...and it shows that it really can add up.
I'm now using a few sites that are worthwhile though I found plenty of duds along the way
    Best of luck with yours

Congratulations on your mortgage reduction, that is a brilliant result

And I'm awestruck at how much you earned on surveys, you must have put in a huge effort to earn that much:T
