Good afternoon
Another lovely sunny day here. I've been good and got my chores for today over and done with so I can enjoy the rest of the day guilt free0 -
How lovely that it's still light :T As much as I dislike losing an hours sleep, it's worth it to gain the lighter evenings back.
I've had a very relaxed afternoon, mostly reading with a bit of catching up on some tv viewing. Also tried a new recipe - parmesan crusted chicken - was simple but tasty ( just what I need!). Also, managed to prep my lunch for tomorrow whilst it was cooking, so one less thing to do in the morning.0 -
Parmesan crusted chicken sounds delicious! May have to add that into my meal planFirst home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0 -

Good evening from a very weary BW. The weekend feels like a very long way away yet....
I'm very proud of myself for still cooking tea tonight though rather than just collapsing on the sofa with a piece of toast. I tried a new receipe - turkey mince burrito's - quick to make and turned out to be pretty tasty. It's a keeper
Arrived home tonight to find a competition win prize had arrived. It's a snazzy electric toothbrush which apparently retails for over £250  There is no way in hell I would pay that for one. Undecided whether to keep it or flog it and use the cash elsewhere. Still, nice to win something though0 -
Good Morning
I had a pretty horrid day at work yesterday and spent last night feeling really fed upI'm trying not to let it dwell on my mind today either.
In better news, I'm a lottery winneralthough since it was £2.60 I'm trying not to let it go to my head :rotfl:
I'm itching to update my spreadsheet since it's a new month, but will have to wait until Monday when the banks catch up
Just having lazy morning mooching online before I decide on today's plans

Afternoon.
Rest of yesterday ended up being lazy too which meant I've had all my chores to do this morning. Pretty much done now other than waiting for last load of washing to finish.
Much improved weather today with some lovely sunshine (as opposed to the torrential rain of yesterday).
Another new dish tried yesterday - first time making home made chicken nuggets. They turned out ok...but I think I may need to tweak them a little to get spot on. It did save me having a takeaway though so chuffed with that.
Gas/elec changed this morning - a £127 (year) saving made :T That will help to counter the council tax increase. Last bill on the hit list will be the tv/broadband - but think I will save that for my week off. 5 more days to survive at work.....0 -
Hope your week's going well.
HM chicken nuggets sound interesting.
Great savings on the gas/elec as well.0 -
Thanks for stopping in Hidden - nice to see you
Well today has been a real mixed bag. Work still meh..but only 2 more days toI've had the catch on my trousers break, an unexpected puddle to deal with in the bathroom and also (most annoyingly) a chip in my car door paintwork
It's right on the edge and so could have easily been worse but I'm still feeling fed up about it. Then at the other end of the scale, I've won £25 on the premium bonds
I've also received the £42 from recycling my old phone - which has been duly sent as an OP0
