Love HUTH, escape to the country and double your house.

Enjoy your break bw, any plans?
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
  • Forgot about Double Your House, that's a good one. :) Also like ETTC but they're usually not country enough for my liking - ideally we'd like quite a lot of land with a teeny house on it and they seem to do the opposite.

  • Hope you have a lovely time off in Italy, and the rest. And sorting out your spare room can be almost :o be just as satisfying as a rest once its done, satisfying and sense of achievement spring to mind :)

I'm also a housey programme lover, especially the before and after's, like HUTH (especially since I bought at auction) :D

    Good Morning :)

I'm back from my travels. Holiday was fab and I feel very relaxed. Still very pleased that I have another week off work though to potter at home.

I even came home with some spending money so will be changing that back and putting it towards some forthcoming purchases. CC cards have been paid off for this month and there isn't too much on them for next month and so should be manageable without testing the budget too much.

I've been earning some money whilst away - cashback has come in for various things - £11.21 - all adds up ;)

I've also been selling a few bits on the Bay of E - amazing what people will buy. Made around £29 so far after fees/postage. I have a few more bits to list in due course too.

    Todays tasks are:

    - finish unpacking
    - washing (lots of!)
    - food shopping
    - chase up missing online shopping order
    - post packages
    - product test an electrical item that I have been sent
    - catch up on surveys
    - catch up on MFW diaries
    - make a plan for the rest of the week (in terms of project spare room)

Think that will do for now

    BW xx
  • Glad you had a nice trip, hope the rest of your week is restful. :)

Wow time seems to go faster in the UK! Day feels like its whizzing along

Managed to get a fair bit done today and without too much dashing about/rushing around. Progress update:

    - finish unpacking - done
    - washing (lots of!) - done (ironing still to do)
    - food shopping - done
    - chase up missing online shopping order - done
    - post packages - done
    - product test an electrical item that I have been sent - will do as part of dinner later
    - catch up on surveys - in progress
    - catch up on MFW diaries - in progress
    - make a plan for the rest of the week (in terms of project spare room) - in progress

I have a plan of action for tomorrow too so tonight I can chill out guilt free :)

It's a beautiful day - lovely to have some more sunshine :)

I was up and out early today as wanted to be at charity shop for when it opened so that I could nab a parking space close by. 12 bags of stuff gone and I can see floor in the spare room :T Still more to do but I feel much better now those bags are gone.

I also ran various other errands whilst I was out. All done and back at home by 10.30am. Have decided to postpone any more jobs for the rest of the day and enjoy the lovely weather instead.

    £5 survey voucher received.
