Frustrating that the 1st of the month was a weekend day as banks won't update til Monday and I want to know where I am. Gives me something to look forward to though I guess (not sure if that makes me sad or not?!)
You and me both. Annoyingly I got a text stating that the interest has applied to my mortgage, but the payment won't officially go until tomorrow, so it looks like we've gone backwards!
First world problems, I suppose, but it does seem like banks should be able to provide information better - they have all the numbers to hand.0 -
Hi Hidden - I agree that is annoying! My mortgage provider has instant updates with OP's even at weekends so I was surprised I couldn't see my correct balance. Although at least not showing the interest either unlike yours.
I've been having a bit more of a sort out and some of the things I was saving for the Bay of E, I have found I can get more selling them to a well known website. Since that way I won't get stung for postage or fees - seems like a no brainer to me. So £19.47 coming for 3 items and less effort0 -
Flying visit tonight - just wanted to post October figures:
Was - mortgage balance £76,136.25 / LTV 66.20% / Daily Interest £3.86
Now - mortgage balance £75,661.96 / LTV 65.79% / Daily Interest £3.83
I've also knocked another month off :T0 -

I'm in the horrors every 1st of the month now, as figures in my mortgage account online completely change, nothing added, nothing deducted, yet all figures different (in a bad way). Most shocking of all, is that, if I didn't even out my figures 00.00 then who's to say I would have noticed the figure going up and not down
Then interest added on, all figures yet again change (?) mortgage money disappears out my account and vanishes. Will appear tomorrow Tuesday (hopefully) in my mortgage account, but, hey, where's my £5 bonus, arrrgh, nowhere to be seen, even though I paid in more than required every month to receive bonus.
Edit - £5 bonus is now showing, pity it's not in my balance total - yet ! ! !Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Another month knocked off, that's brilliant!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Well done on knocking another month off0

Hi, I share your frustration with the wait for the updates! Having the 1st on a weekend means I am 4 days behind to check everything went through okay - my OCD means I can't rest until it's all settled as I expect. Good side is that it's less of a gap now until payday
I think that knocking months off the end of the mortgage is a very nice stat indeed. I might use a "if i have to revert to just regular payments and not make any more overpayments (if the mud hits the fan), then what month would I be due to finish in" and that's a nice countdown
And with work... well, only you know the situation, but I have always found keeping your head down and doing the best job you can to be key - is that possible for you? Hope it is.

It is to a certain extent.....but then I am reliant on other people too... which makes it so much harder. Appreciate the support though0 -
