Has anybody had any difficulty getting their Amazon voucher? I'm currently in discussions with them as they're claiming I'm not eligible.
They say I took the insurance out via a comparison site, and therefore am not eligible for the £70 Amazon voucher.
However I'm sure I didn't. I'm confident I followed the link on the MSE website, so furious that they now won't honor it!
I may have used a comparison site to compare quotes - who wouldn't?!! But (after years of using topcashback) I then always close my browser and start again using the link for which deal I want to take.
Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem, or if anyone can offer any advice?
Thanks0 -
This is a wonderful example in completely disregarding the point of insurance in favour of a cheap voucher?!?!?!?!?!?!
The advice I would give would be to stop focusing on silly gimmicks, cuddly toys and vouchers and instead just buy the insurance.
A few years from now we'll have a load of PPI type claims from people with cuddly toys but no insurance.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
How exactly have I completely disregarded the point of insurance?
I need to have a home insurance policy. I have shopped around online looking at various insurers and the policies they offer to find those that suits my needs, and then I've compared their prices and chosen accordingly. I've used the Money Saving Expert website (as I always do), to find the best deal. Why pay more for something than you have to? Isn't that the point of this website, to help people save money?
Oh, and for the record, I've never had PPI and never expected a free cuddly toy.0 -
Same here bc2.
But actually when I opened this thread I expected it to be about someone who had a problem with a claim, not just about receiving their voucher!0 -
Ah, I see. Perhaps not the right thread for my question?
Apologies if so, I don't tend to post a lot! Just replied to this one as it seemed to be the best that came up in my search.0 -
Where can I find the MSE link to L&G?
Many thank in advance.0 -
I've used L&G for Life Insurance for almost 10 years and now for my home insurance, haven't had to make a claim yet but all their admin and customer services seems good and a reasonable price!0

Sorry bc, I was referring to the original poster, I can understand why you brought it up as that was what the thread turned out to be about.0 -

I also had a quote which said I had successfully added the mse code. After not receiving my vouchers I rang them and they said they have no knowledge of it!!! What am I supposed to do? I'm guessing they just hope people forget so they never have to pay up and if they do remember they just deny it!0 -
Just bringing this thread up to confirm that I took my insurance out with L&G for mid November start, received my vouchers through the post end of last week and have happily redeemed them with Amazon.
I use Amazon all the time anyway so this was worth it. The initial quote was in the same range as the others I received and loads better than my renewal quote. I also made sure the cover was comparable.0
