BT are consistently at or near the bottom of the pile in every consumer survey made. Though I believe that EE are now running them close...
TT appear to have improved greatly in the last 2 years, although they did start from a very low point.

But unfortunately it is (usually) only the bad CS that appears on MSE and similar sites.

This can give a false impression - I have had a BT line since the 70's (have had several other call and internet providers) in 5 parts of the country. Never had the slightest bother with BT - on Infinity 2 at the moment, excellent !

^What he said. I too have never had a blip with BT, even when I've had a blip with my services (a rare occasion to be sure). And Infinity rocks. TT have improved greatly in the last 2 years with a 50% reduction in complaints and BT are allegedly going to address their issues as well. Namely, the foreign call centre [STRIKE]joke[/STRIKE] issue.

Mmmmmm....Food for thought here. Anyone else moved full sky bundle to BT for cost reasons.

I'm on Sky variety tv pack, with w/end evening calls and unlimited fibre broadband. Paying full price of over £62 now per month . Only really need the kids channels in any future package.

Did some quick calcs and reckon 'similar' pack BT tv with kids bolt on, phone calls and umlimited infinity 1 would be close to £35 per month. This assumes quidco of £200 and a sainburys voucher of £100 which i'm just treating as cash as we use them. This is based on 18month contract and i've not costed in any activation charges, etc.

Just wondering if anyone's done this and wondering what the trade off is?? Have always found Sky CS pretty helpful and good to deal with. Also realise with the kids bolt on we won't get as many kids or other channels but not too bothered about that. We (me) would gain some free prem footy games though! Anything else i've not thought of??

I suppose if i order and get cold feet i could still cancel.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I transferred everything over from sky to bt in may.
I chose the infinity 1 unlimited and the tv entertainment plus i added the kids pack for the extra £3
everything transfered over smoothly and the infinity is really good.
Bt youview is spot on as well.
We did lose some kids channels but its mainly the +1 hour channels.
I have no regrets in joining bt.

Firstly, thanks to jessmist for her comments here and also her help in another thread about how to build the correct bundle with BT.

I bit the bullet last night and placed an order with BT through quidco when it was £250 for taking full bundle.

Sky came back to me with a best offer of variety pack with sports, unlimited fibre, line rental and sky talk for approx £51.50 which includes half price variety tv and half price fibre broadband. This doesn''t seem that bad an offer but from a cost point of view comes nowhere near BT.

They're offering for unlimited infinity 1, entertainment tv with kids bolt on , line rental and weekend bolt on comes in at approx £30 per month if the £250 quidco and £150 sainbugs vocuhers come in.

The £250 in quidco has already tracked from last night so all good so far.
I'm aware we'll lose some of the kids +1 hour and other channels and move to an inferior box but quite prepared to drop that when you look at the costs.

My only small concern is that i've read on hotdeals and quidco a couple of comments that indicate that BT have cancelled the original order number given to some people and created a new one a couple of days before activation so they can get out of cashback. Now i'm not saying this is going to happen but i'll be watching my emails like a hawk!

Anyone have any thoughts on this or maybe highlight something i've missed.

    thanks
