DD1 just done her first glitchy shop. :j

Told her yesterday to try her sainsbobs she has just popped in and said some of the stuff I mentioned still had "Sale" SELs but still for over £1. I told her to go get things price checked.

She was too nervous so gave her pep talk, and she caved and got them checked and they are 20p. :D

She even took things that I had not got yesterday that had the "Sale" SELs like the Sharwoods sweet & sour sauce and kung po sauces. And we are going to have our very first swap shop in couple of weeks. :T

She is now struggling back with her haul under the push chair. Hope it holds out with nearly 20 jars.

    That's my girl. :D

oooh, that's interesting, I'll have to test when Trouty mctroutface isn't on SS. They had a few bits of fish, in the 3 for £10 then reduced. Didn't know whether to chance it but I was in a rush. will head back there when i finish work. Thanks x

It certainly worked for me last time in M's with the meat voucher and with reduced meat.

Bought 3 packs of the gammon steaks I posted earlier. Cost £10, used £5 Morries voucher.....so paid £5 and got a £4 PP :D :money::money:
£1 for over a kilo of gammon.

    Plus fillers of course

    Wow! Well done.

I'd move on to M&S next...all you need to do is switch over a current account. No minimum payments needed, no DDs and no SOs.

£100 gift card will be delivered within a calendar month from switch completion date.

I'd hold off with First Direct until their £125 switch incentive comes back.

    ;)
Thanks Karlie, I'll give it a go

Sorry for the questions, i have just looked into this online, it states that they will do all the work, and as long as i put £750 per month into the account and have 2 DD`s going out i will get another £5 per month.

So, what if i was to open an account with LloydsTSB, deposit £10 then switch it to the Halifax one, and not bother with it no more, would i still get the £100 or do i have to deposit the £750 per month and have the 2 DD`s to qualify for the £100?
    tia

Normally keep running for a few months at least - worth doing anyway as you get £5 per month too if you meet the requirements.

I have money circulating each month to trigger bonuses etc - no need to leave it in Halifax once paid in apart from remembering to have enough in to cover DDs.

Tesco Finance online saving account is worth getting as you can quick set up DDs (two different saving accounts - online and instant) to meet any DD requirements ;). Paypal can also be used as a DD too :).

You can transfer the money in and out; it only has to be in the account for a split second. I cycle the same £1500 across all current accounts.

That is really helpful. Thank you so much.
