can't be bothered to make jam as no one here eats it, or bottled fruit so I'm in the process of filling my rumtopf with fruit and Antiguan rum. Should be brilliant and ready to sample in 6 weeks, if it lasts that long. It is amazing on ice cream, or spooned over a plain sponge pudding with a dollop of cream. Yum!

I would love to go to Thailand
:)
It is lovely, but if you go you either have to do it really cheap or luxury, as some of the middle hotels are :eek::eek: We loved the street food, you get used to eating whilst rats are running around!
DS1 has just been to Vietnam for Ramadan via Bangkok, so we received a lovely box of all things Thai/Vietnam the other day. Lots of lovely spices (hence the Redcurry), but we have not touched the cobra/spider wine… yuck!100 -
Thank you very much Anon :T:T0 -

Imagine this, lying on a desert island (got there by speedboat) that you can walk round in 10 minutes, selection of local fruit brought round by waiters. Pineapple that tastes absolutely nothing like pineapple in this country, lychees that still have the white outer skin on, all sorts of extremely fresh fruit. I have never touched a pineapple in this country since that, it simply is not the same
We went to Phuket, Bangkok, somewhere I cannot remember in the middle of nowhere and Khoalak.
We explored a little of North Thailand, and got lost ending up in Burma … that was a little scary x100 -
