I've enough Lynx/O Source/Pantene/Nivea/Dove/Radox/J Frieda to last about 50 years and all were better than free  :rotfl:

I really must do a boot sale soon !

I have Original Sources reducing the amount I get on wombles:rotfl::(. I shan't be attending your boot sale to make any purchases though:rotfl::rotfl:.

But I do have Jane Hill now making her 93rd appearance of the year on the News Channel. So, all is well there:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Ah, enough, this topic's worn thin now. (Someone correct me - is it 92nd or 93rd?!?:rotfl:.)

I've got frozen marg in my smallest shelf - since youngest son fledged I am not cake making or sandwich making so its just sitting there.

That's interesting. A SA in Wilks told me you don't get change so I used my L2S giftcard instead!!! I'll know better next time.

btw, Morrisons paper vouchers can be used in the cafe and for petrol so quite easy to get rid of. I know a few of us buy them when when there's a Morrisons cashback deal through HBOS.

May depend on SA? When mine scanned the paper voucher the till automatically opened and told them how much change to give.

Sup3rdrug point blank said no change given (as they will be short??). I feel sure that retailers will be refunded at face value for the actual voucher (not on how much it was used for)? Till will balance overall anyway. That said, voucher does say no change given.

Not sure if mentioned but there are rumours ( info from SA ) that the f&v and meat mocs are going to be a regular occurence. The meat one will be this thursday apparently.

I can believe this, in fact. It does fit in with my view of how these promotions work and how they do, on the whole, deliver profits for M. Obviously very successful with the muggles doing their full weekly shops:T:T:T.

There is a reason why the coupons appear on Thursdays. It's getting ready for the weekend, when most people do their (weekly) shopping, buying loads of items and obviously it gets people into M instead of a competitor to do that particular shop. A very important part of the market for M to have.

I hope the F&V runs at the same intervals for ever more. The last one, I managed to have just a couple of apples left from it and then this new £5 F&V came on. Now the household has enough apples to last until, hopefully the next one in the same number of weeks' time. It is excellently-timed and allows just enough fruit with the fivers to be bought to last till the next coupons:T:rotfl:.

    First time making jam, too:)
Let's see what it turns out like, but it tasted lovely in the pan (there was a little bit left over, not enough for even a little jar, so I'm saving that to pour over something ... or maybe just pour it straight down my throat). I thought it would be more theraputic than it was, but it seemed to take ages to get the 'set point'; and I'd had a less-than-great start to the day when this morning I realised I hadn't shut the freezer door properly last night when I'd put some rasps in to freeze, so it had all iced up and needed defrosting  ... But, done now, and it's now full of fruit and all kinds of goodies.
The pasta sauce is done, too, all jarred up - five big jars in total.:)

I'm just deciding whether to batch-cook some mushroom pate this evening. Struggling to work up the energy, TBH, doesn't feel like I've stopped today ... oh, and I've just realised I haven't had anything to eat today, either, apart from a few licks of strawberry jam. Right, that's settled it - food time.:j

After my marmalade treacle episode last time, I was never making any type of jam ever, ever again :o

I decided to give a whirl today. I had the same problem of finding the boiling point. (I don't have a jam thermometer)

Glad you managed to rescue the freezer contents, what a disaster that would have been

The 'shrooms can wait til tomorrow
