Love reading about what everyone is up to with their M f&v. I was running out of ideas so gave a voucher to DH and told him to pick whatever he wanted. He is currently doing battle with a coconut
We had his family round for lunch today. It included very large bowls of both salad and fruit salad. Pinched TM's idea and did strawberries dipped in chocolate to have with coffee. I also made this. It was yummy.0 -

I got some cherries to make Cherry Jam, and Cherry & Almond Relish.
I also got some Plums, either to make Plumbrillo (like membrillo, jelly-like fruit you get in Spain, made with quinces, but I thought I'd try with plums).
I'm also going to make some Mary Berry Christmas Chutney - probably leave that till another day, though, now.
re. peppers, roasted red pepper soup is delish, and dead easy to make.
That is on my 'to do' list, too; but I've also got a recipe for Blueberry Ketchup (meant to be great with burgers) so might give that a try.
I have enjoyed it, too:D This was the result of yesterday's shopping expeditions:
and today I got some veg for long-term storage.
I also gave away quite a few vouchers that I wasn't going to have time to use - including a group of Chinese students, a hippyish couple who didn't look like between them they had a penny to scratch their bums with, a lovely woman who was so grateful - she said "I must give you something":o and then "I'd give you some money but I've only got my credit card ... so sweet (and before you ask, PD, no phone numbers were exchanged).

The rain has gone. :j
Beautiful clear blue sky and warm sunshine now, just a bit windy.
I managed a 'few' Morries shops at lunchtime.:D
I roped in DH, gave him 4 vouchers and instructions. We each did a shop, took it back to the car, did jacket on/ off/swaps and did a further 3 each, using a mix of ss and manned tills to avoid the old trout who had loudly told the woman in front of me who had 2 shops that it was STRICTLY ONE VOUCHER PER PERSON, and then glared at the 3 other people waiting to use the ss tills. Well missus, we managed 4 shops each, so ner ner ne ner ner:p:p:rotfl:
It's back to work for me tomorrow.
My back pain is still there, but much less than it was. Will have to be careful, but it's difficult as I have to move heavy stuff at times, and can be on my feet for long periods of time.
Today was my first day out of the house since last Monday.
I've managed to book a 3 day weekend away. :jWe are going to Cornwall to the Eden Project, and the Heligan gardens. I managed to get a deal that includes 2 days at the Eden project, (a bogof,):D, a night at a spa hotel, with DB&B, and a night at a Travelodge with breakfast all for £289. I'll pick up a voucher from the hotel for 25% off the entry to the Heligan gardens when we get there. We are really looking forward to a break away.:j

I am not making jam this year, I still have approximately 10 jars of raspberry jam from last year! This year we are making wine from the raspberries:D I am glad they freeze so well or none of them would ever make it past hanging around in the fridgeWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
