Today my mum got a letter from lawgistics saying after further investigation it has been found that my mum changed the mileage or knew about it and traded it in illegally!!!!!
Can anyone please help or point me in the right direction?
Good news! lawgistics will do the trader 200 Mileage Disclaimer Stickers to fix on the speedo / dashboard of vehicles that have not had the mileage verified or confirmed for £11.

I would offer them the £11 and advise that they go forth and multiply.0 -
I agree (except I'd keep the £11)0

What percentage the price should drop by I dont have a scoobies of though.
It would be my experience that its not such an issue.
I've had to resell quite a few cars with mileages that werent correct - usually because of a speedo head change and as long as you're telling the customer theres no issue really.
I'd be advertising it as having 120K miles, and then when someone rings / comes to view i'd explain that the speedometer reading is show 80K. I'd also write up on the invoice "mileage reading 80K miles, however believed to be in the region of 120K miles - mileage not warranted".
On a 13 year old car, as long as the car is otherwise good, i wouldnt forsee much of an issue.0 -
You can look up MOT mileages online now can't you?
I'm guessing most people who clock cars don't do it in one go but gradually between MOTs.0 -

I'd tell the dealer and lawgistics to get naffed.
The dealer should have made these checks while the deal was being done. Their fault.
They messed up and now they are now trying to get some money back.
File letters away, ignore and enjoy your new car.0 -

But the "certificate" has also had the mileages of the last FOUR MOTs on it for the last couple of years...0
