Lily I love reading your posts because they are so animated. I only know how to do a smiley face.

    Candlelightx

Thanks for that, Candlelight - glad you like them :D.

Lots of the ones that I use are on MSE - when you're typing a post, click on 'Go Advanced' at the bottom of the posting box. The smilies are on the right hand side. Click on the word [More] below them and you'll open up a new window that's got lots of good ones.

Some of my others I get from Hystersisters website - I think theirs are brilliantly funny :rotfl:. However there's a bit of a rigmarole to copying and posting their links.

jlhmd666 - I'm sure that there's some websites on t'internet about making your own rollerblinds - possibly You Tube Vids as well. I also think there's some kind of 'stiffening spray' (no dirty laughs, please!) that you can buy. Good Luck with the project seamstress.gif

Thank you for those Lily I will have a look and see which one works out cheaper. Plain blinds are cheaper than patterned butI maybe I could get some really pretty material. even cheaper?

    I need to research I think :)

    Hi everyone,

I didn't get the housework done yesterday because I had a headache that wouldn't go and felt generally unwell, I still don't feel great. I have to go for the dreaded smear this afternoon, not really looking forward to that.

I have been sending emails to DS' gf purporting to come from her cat - apparently the first one made her cry with laughter. Truth be told I don't really like cats, I'm a dog person, but Tibs is such a little sweetheart although she's still a bit wary of us.

I shall try to do the housework I didn't get done yesterday, I want to change the filters on the dyson. I also want to sew, I didn't do any while sis-in-law was down.

    Have a good day.

Jhmd666- I wouldn't be in a hurry to lessen the store cupboard, all these battles in Europe and the Middle East are really worrying me. Who knows whats around the corner :(

    xx

This is true dandy It is worrying as things could very easily escalate :( The storecupboards have reached as far as the bedrooms though as there is so much :o Plus I now have 8 large plastic boxes also filled with foods :o

I will keep an eye on the situation I think and just really hope that things can settle down before our country makes a decision to get involved :(

I had a 'shredding experience to finally get rid of all the vile/nasty/disgusting stuff that my ex-oh - father of my three adult children - sent me after we split up. The only things that I've kept are my Marriage Certificate (because it's a 'legal document' that will cost me money to replace if ever required) and my two divorce documents ('nisi' and 'absolute') :j. Every note/letter that went through the shredder, I imagined it was a part of his anatomy :rotfl:!
I shredded my marriage and divorce certificates about 12 months ago. Probably unwise but ive been married to my present husband for almost 30 years and I figure if there was anything untoward, my ex would get in more trouble than me. I'm on my second marriage and he's on his 3rd!

    Morning all,

Just off out the door, I'm off out to see Mom before it gets too hot. Hopefully, catch up with the thread later.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

    Good morning all.

Weather is cooler, which is quite nice tbh.

Trying to avoid the supermarket but then also think I should stock up due to situations around the world. I can't watch the news at the moment. It's so upsetting.

Youngest had huge meltdown in public yesterday. Tried to take him to the barbers. Was ok till it was his turn. I feel quite upset. I do wonder of he will ever have a "normal" life. I know that's awful, sorry.

I've got a friend coming over soon with her little girl. They're going back to Aus in September. Her dd loves my youngest. House is a midden as youngest has thrown toys everywhere. Oh well.

Hmm, I don't appear to be happy today. Think I will go.

    Love, hugs and spoons xxx

It's time consuming with 1 dog at times so can just imagine how much time is spent with 26 rabbits

Bet they all have their own personalities though :) My youngest DD would love rabbits.

Luckily they are all litter trained so we clean the trays every 2nd day and do a full clean out twice a week, grooming is done every few days, when they are in moult it has to be every day, feeding twice a day and weighing once a week, both myself and DH share the load so it isnt too bad, the only thing I refuse to do is trim the nails, I once cut a nail too short and made it bleed....never again!

Every single one of them have their own quirky personalities, never once have we had a nasty rabbit, I think the key too it is lots of interaction. :)

Snoozer- could your headache be down to getting stressed about your smear? They aren't nice to have done but at least once it's over your not called back for 3 years. I hope you can have a little lie down and take some pills before you go. Good luck x

Mrsmortenherket- I don't know how old your DS is but it is always hard when they get distressed. So many boys/men have long hair nowadays, could it be left to grow for a while? Also might be worth seeing if you have a hairdresser who does house visits as that might be less stressful for him?

Lily plonk- I'm another fan of your animated posts! They remind me of those puzzles, were they called "rebus" or "riddle me ree" ?the ones where you had to decipher the message and it had a picture of an eye instead of the letter "I" etc!

    Morning everybody,

We've had a bit of drizzle and its dull today. It was meant to be Lylas spay op today but she grabbed some leaves and ate them when DH let her out for a wee this morning, she wasnt meant to eat anything from 6 pm :o.Also the vet said she has a bit of fluid in her boobies so her hormone levels are a bit high, think he's concerned she might be starting with a false pregnancy so we have to distract her if she starts 'nesting'.So re scheduled for next week now.

I did all my ironing yesterday, and cleaned the front windows as it was cooler.I hoovered as well but I'll have to do that again as there was a mangled dead dove on the patio this morning which DH cleared up before Lyla could investigate but some little feathers have walked in:mad: I dont know if it was a cat or one of the buzzards that are round here :(

May be pasta bake for tea if it stays cool-it's gone really dark as though its gonna rain hard.I got my sewing machine out as well yesterday,I got 2 dresses in Debs sale but they were a size too big but I really liked them, & they didnt have my size -just shift type dresses so it wasnt too difficult to alter them. They're perfect now and it only took half an hour so it was worth it.

Back to the chores, leaving well wishes for Hilly,Molly and anybody else who is poorly, hugs Mrs MH- sorry its so hard with DS.xx
