Tell you what - YOU keep whatever you want indoors. Wish you all the best.
I am asking for advice how to get rid of spiders. Not how to get used to them.[/QUOTE
I have major spider fear and have been in touch with the pest control people because we have big huntsmen spiders where I live. They all suggested stopping them getting in in the first place. I seal up all small cracks in the walls and floor. And keep sinks plugged most of all use mosquito netting over the windows so you can open them without any nasties getting in.
If you do see one indoors KILL IT by stamping on it or use a spray like RAID ANT AND ROACH KILLER it works well as a knockout spray and deters them coming back but keep it away from cats it's toxic to them. Keep dust to a minimum and clean all the dark corners in your rooms we here the like to lurk. They don't like to be disturb ed so don't let them get too comfortable.
The electronic plug in devices aren't good I tried them only to find big spiders sitting next to them on the plug socket after the first night. I think they attract them initially before scaring them off, not what you want.0
