and remember my rent hasn`t increased in years, so don`t get ahead of yourself just yet.

You rent hasn`t increased in years, but over the same period your landlord's mortgage rate has dropped from 9% to 2.5% so which one of you has done better from your financial arrangements? ;)

I'm not ahead of myself but 17 years ahead of you.

The best you can do is turn a losing hand to a less losing hand and I doubt that's going to to happen but best of luck.

George can bring it on. I just wish he'd get on top of the landlords who evade tax and their enabling tenants.

    OOOhh, that's fightin` talk :T Good luck!

Don`t think the landlord even has a mortgage. They have a flat they want to rent out, I don`t want to buy into the biggest (bursting) property bubble in history so everyone is happy, except you it seems.....:rotfl:

    You'll never buy.

In the event of a crash you'll be sniggering from the sidelines and then get on with renting your 'flat'

... Or should it be 'your' flat ?
Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.

    Both I guess..

'your' as in his landlord's flat and ..

'flat' as in it's a room

Or maybe you are a prat and Paddington is just fat (from all that marmalade) Just had the thought that all the years my landlords were paying 9% they were basically subsidising me weren't they?
If you think I am paying £400 p.m for a room you definitely need to get out of London a bit more mate.

Easy to get confused. The what, where and cost of your accommodation seems to be a moveable feast.

No, it`s very simple to understand, and the cost has been well discussed and laid out.

You could be right, you may well have paid it off for him by now.
