That's not the fault of someone who has already done what you hope to do.

HPIfever will probably hate you once you buy. You'll probably fall off Crashy's Christmas card list too.

nasty little cheap shots from wotsit
    what a surprise

It's true though, the day you eventually buy somewhere you'll have to deal with true scumbags like hpifever hoping you lose it all shortly after.

There will be a dip, that's guaranteed. The only problem is calling exactly when and how long in what is essentially a long term bull market. That's a dangerous game to play, many have been royally stung playing that game.

I simply recomend planning for the long term considering rent outlays and shaking the landlord off your back as relatively quickly as possible. Markets go up and they go down. Rent goes down the pan guaranteed.
Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.

Nothing nasty in that post at all..... You're easily offended today.

Never mind bitten, You're so far from reality that you don't even realise that you've been eaten alive.

As for me, I have overpaid my mortgage by £7200 this year, my mortgage has only £100k outstanding, if rates went up to 12% tomorrow and my fixed rate magically disappeared I'd still be paying less than what I comfortably pay with my overpayments. So yeah I'm terrified that reality has "bitten" :T

The reality you don`t like is the one where you paid out more in debt and interest than the house will be worth in a few years. The HPI was the thing that made it worthwhile for many who took on big debts IMO.

Yea I just read the earlier exchange. The forum is a great place for debate, some of well articulated, some not. To wish someone ill is pretty poor form whatever way you look at it and adds nothing to the debate.

    That's pretty pathetic tbh.

Indeed. The nastiest comments on here come from those who have "bought" IMO, because many of them are obviously bricking it :T

Actually I think the nastiest comments on the whole thread come from you.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
