You are too far gone..... Shame. Blinded by HPC.0 -
Of course property is wealth or do you believe that all property will become worthless.
After a proper correction most property won`t bring what we would describe as "wealth", just a reasonable sum if you can find a buyer. Many people confuse paper gains with actual wealth, but in reality the two are very different.0 -

I am sure you will post some sort of nonsense all the way to the end days of this bubble. What kind of price drops will we need to see to make housing Bulls too sick to post I wonder? Actually, it is already getting quiet round here, distinctly lacking in immediate sarcastic and cocky put downs, I wonder why.0 -

Oh the irony...Crashy_Time wrote: »If you still believe that property is "wealth" you are beyond help IMO.
I think almost everyone in this thread can see who is beyond help. :rotfl:Crashy_Time wrote: »After a proper correction most property won`t bring what we would describe as "wealth", just a reasonable sum if you can find a buyer. In the context of the Inheritance Tax that we have been discussing please could you enlighten us how paper gains and actual wealth "are very different?"Every generation blames the one before...

You talk absolute rubbish if you get your 50% crash extremely unlikely property will still be wealth and paper gains have nothing to do with it.0 -

Probably because it was Sunday and you were posting well into the early hours. Someone in the HMO keeping you up?
The "housing bulls" on this site can't lose this little game you're inventing, we've already finished it, no matter what happens from here we will have done far better out of the property market than you ever will. Just sayin'.
You'd have much more success if you chose to argue with some potential FTBers or something. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
There is a house around the corner from me which has just gone on at asking at £60k more than any has ever sold for on that road.
Its awful, and exciting!0 -

I didn`t mention inheritance tax, why do you think it is relevant to someone`s house being worth less than they thought, a "value" V actual money in the bank?0 -

Why continue to argue with people who have "lost" then? Is it because you are some kind of internet sadist, or did you just borrow too much at the wrong time, like our pal Hamish :rotfl:0
