'We've reached a tipping point' Signs of house price weakness

Trust me - keep it that way (with apologies to folk from Leicester :rotfl:).
I think one of the problems on here is that HPC'ers find one house with a big drop and say 'there's the evidence' but in all too many cases it can be explained as an anomaly - especially if someone knows the area. Then the whole argument is debunked. Finding a load of properties with 10-15% drops in one area is far more compelling evidence to me that something is happening.
Follow the Prime London Crashing thread on HPC to see the asking price drops as they roll in.0 -

This probably wouldn't be the most useful way to spend a day!
Anecdotes don't constitute any sort of evidence. I really don't think you can judge a market as big as the Uk based on a few glimpses of a property website!0 -

This is the thread that's been showing London 'crashing' since January.
What has actually happened to prices in London so far this year?0 -

So have sold prices declined since April or just asking prices?0 -

Interestingly enough, if it isn't there, it is quite possible to still see it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ApopheniaIf you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.0 -
