Hi Vanilla! Lovely to see you posting again. And within a few days of Bonnie posting, so it's all looking good. You are missed when you don't post, you know.
Off Topic, my alphabet contained the three letters:
ella menno pee.
And I could not get my head around the difference between the words shoulder and soldier, which was a bit unfortunate as my father was in the army and adults often used to ask what my father did. It didn't take long to work out that if I just used the word 'sojer' for both, everybody understood. I can clearly remember that the confusion continued past the point at which I knew that one of them contained letters that looked French (precocious brat moi, obvs) which was even more confusing, so I must have been at least eight years old!
I'm still very aware of the fact that it was my absolutely certain belief that all dogs were male and cats were the female of the same species.Better is good enough.0 -

Morning all! Not really been on the ball this week due to having food poisoning. Had to drag myself to Leeds for a conference yesterday as I wouldn't be able to claim the £100 travel expenses from work if I hadn't. Back in work today and still feeling a little delicate but we shall see how it goes. Will try a little flying tomorrow, the bathroom has been disinfected many a time over the past few days but I want to give it a thorough clean for my own peace of mind! Hope you're all doing well.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

Ah I love Le Creuset! So jealous of your kettle and tea pot. I've only just realised that if we had a power cut, we'd be screwed as we only have an electric hob...Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

Hi everyone.
Mr LW's pre-op "assessment" has been decluttered; we have some instructions re when he has to not eat anything after, and what to do about his regular medication. Also he has a dinky little bottle to wee into to take with him on the day (lovely!!) They did an ECG, which was no problem, and a blood test, which has resulted in extra washing for Muggins here. They tried his left arm and couldn't get anything. So they tried his right arm.... and he bled like a stuck pig!:eek: Not to worry, I've got it all out of his clothes, thankfully; though not without coming over dizzy - I'm as bad with blood as Piggers is with sick. _pale_
He's packed as much of what he needs to take as he can for now into his overnight bag (though we hope he'll be home the same day) - bless him, he's selected one of his well-worn PG Wodehouse books to take for "light reading".:o
Anyways, that's it now til Tuesday; he's got tomorrow off work anyway for Lughnassadh, so we've a bottle of fizzy stuff chilling in the fridge, ready for tomorrow evening.:o
Jasper was as good as gold while we were out.:A He was so pleased to see us back, though.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW.. Glad all went smoothly, hopefully that's a sign he is a good healthy strong chap
