Good morning all
Nice of you to think of us, Dusty. I know you're having a wonderful time despite the "housework" drudgery
My flying for today (so far) consisted of QHI at 00:45 so that I have a decent skirt to wear tomorrow :rotfl:
I now need to burn a CD of course files and find a few more bits and bobs to put in a resource box for my colleague, eat breakfast (which DH is preparing) and pack an overnight bag for me and DH, then we can be off to see DS and family, stopping for coffee with my colleague on the way. Tomorrow we shall visiting other friends for coffee and lunch, but DH has to be home in time to run one of the wargames at club in the evening.
Proper flying will resume on Saturday with an attack on my Toots list.
Pleased to say that no more molehills have appeared overnight.
Extra (((hugs))) to YL and anyone else in need. Spoons and sticks for all - please help yourselves. Hope everyone has a good day. LW, enjoy your canine company.0 -
Morning Flyladies
Dusty, I hope you're having a fablious* time and you're only partaking in the bare minimum of flappery
*When DD was about three, she was gifted a Disney princess dress for Christmas, she spent about an hour posing and swishing in front of the mirror saying "Oh Mummy, it's just FAB-LI-OUS!", I've never pronounced it 'properly' since. See also 'binocliars' and my personal favourite, 'hippomapotamus'
I'm not at the paid stuff this morning, but I woke up at stupid o'clock nonethelessSo the overnight glasses, mugs and the breakfast things have been WUDUPA and the kitchen has been S&Sed -- most unlike me to be this on the ball by 8am!
I'm going to strip the boys beds this morning and see if I can get them dry before we go to bed; I have had the airer in the girls room as they've not been here and it has been SO nice not to have it permanently parked in front of the French doors in the lounge. I can't scrape together another load of clothing as yet and there is one solitary item in the ironing basket, I can't remember the last time I was this caught up with the laundry mountain :T
The lounge needs dusting and the bath is filthy again, not quite sure how that's happened but there y'go. So a few bits to keep me pottering and out of mischief this morning before work this afternoon.0 -
YL you have my sympathies......to be fair once I really get a toe up the backsides of the big Skints they are quite good ....but it is very rare that they "notice" that things need doing. The two youngest Skints are much better for being raised the Flylady way.....DD4 who is 18 months old decided to scrub the Disabled toilet at the swimming pool yesterday shouting "Nin, Nin, Nin" (as in cleaNINg) before she would let DS use it
I am drowning in the gibble of 3 adults houses of stuff atm....the two biggest Skints are home from Uni for the summer......for example my pan drawer currently has 15 different pans squished in ........I have had to move DD4 and her cot back into my room as I cannot get in to her wardrobes as DD2's stuff has been in there untouched (and unwashed for 6 weeks!)
Today, I am going to take a leaf out of Piggers book.......I will put the side panels up on the gazebo today to stop prying eyes from the neighbours, chuck a tarpaulin down and drag everybody's Toot outside.........tomorrow is dustbin day so anything still left out at crack of dawn tomorrow is going straight out for the Binmen.
Yesterday I thought I did a lot, but in hindsight it was mostly shopping to get things organised......I am down to the two loads of my washing before I leave WM to DD1 and DD2 to get all there stuff through.
Anyway I have made a brew and another one in an insulated mug for a bit later and I am off to peg out some more stuff!
I aim to back for another brew and catch up at 11 :wave:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Shopping done and away - need to freeze some but will need portioning so will do later. Off out again to do banking so will catch up laters!!July 16 £95/£200

morning all
hope everyone is well
hugs good wishes positive vibes sticks and spoons where needed
YL i sometimes feel like that and feel like im the only person in the house who cleans, DH tries but im my own worst enemy. if its not done who i would have done it i re do it. so he wonders why he bothers hanging washing out when i only repeg it afterwards. but he will always wash up.
the boys will only do it if forced but saying that for some reason they both went through there drawers the other month and refolded all their t shirts to make them fit better. so occasionally things do get done.
need to nip down the shops in a bit was going to go later as i had a nail appt but got a text this morning to say a friend needs her shoulder when she should be doing my nails. seriously he had to ask!! i hate to think id be having my nails done when someone who needed support was sitting alone. ironically this appt has been rescheduled 4 ties now because one or the other of us has had to be somewhere else for various reasons im beginning to think i should just do them myself and forget the idea of a manicure.
going to hole in the wall bottle and clothes bank then back to fly.SPC~12 ot 124

Fizz, I love the things that kids mispronounce too!
Yesterday, I got DS a tube of Jelly Beans from the R@nge.......with all the various colours....he was carefully making his way down his selection when he announced loudly
"Mummy I have found Llama Bean flavour!" after trying to stifle the giggles i asked him to clarify "you know, Llamas, they are like green LEMONS!"The cold never bothered me anyway0 -

had to smile at that one skinty. when ds3 was little she was a huge barney the dinosaur fan. and one day she asked me to show her where the 'armanana nation' was on a map as she wanted to go there.
the theme song to the show was barney is a dinosuar from 'our imagination' which she was mishearing as armanana nation
and when learning her alphabet she always used to say emil nemil pee instead of l,m,n,o,p
all of mine have pronounced medicine and mendisin
going shops nowSPC~12 ot 124

Morning all
My plan to get my work done yesterday went out the window. I have no idea why it just didWhen DD went to bed I got out all the random mostly work stuff that I'd just dumped in the 2 drawers in the sideboard last Friday and it took me 2 hours to sort through it all in between dealing with the washing  I gave up at midnight and went to bed only to find I'd forgotten to remake it
Any way, that means that today I'm working, DD can do some chores and the TV is staying OFF until things are done. Hopefully we can go and get the paint etc tomorrow as I'm now a week behind in my decorating plan
Off to make a start :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning all, been missing in action again due to Ozzy chewing through the computer cable. Grrrrr
Poor Bo took a fit on Sunday so a trip to the vet was called for. They took his blood to run some tests and everything came back clear so fingers crossed it's a one of.
Flying today has got to be the kitchen and some dot to dot. House is a tip. Haven't had a chance to read thread but will catch up on it tomorrow. Hope everyone is ok. x“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -
