    They didn't mention a lot of things-but the fact remains that if they switch to E7 without also installing NSH's, then all their heating will be at peak rate.
    OP seemed to be obsessive about a marginal saving on hot water costs, but oblivious to the capital cost involved in switching.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    We are totally at cross-purposes here.

    To repeat, you posed the question:
    34 posts and nobody has suggested that you should get E7??? Why not???

    Get E7, should heat you enough water for what you want at a 'reasonable' price.

    The reason 'why not' is that whilst E7 will clearly provide cheaper Hot water, the penalty is that space heating and all daytime electricity on E7 will be much more expensive. The savings on Hot Water will not compensate for the additional cost of daytime consumption.

    As I said before, there has been no mention of heating the flat, it may already have another sauce of heating ;) you only !!!-u-me that they will need to use 'leccy ;)
