If you shower when you get home from work, why on earth do you need to shower again before going to work next morning.
Never heard of hot sweaty sex before getting up? All those bodily fluids eek!0 -
I point blank refuse to have eight showers a day!0

Once a month is enough for anyone (sex or showers - take your pick)Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Because he'll then need to install NSH's as well, unless he wants to space heat at a premium rate.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Wouldn't you also need a meter which supports two rates? If it's a rental that might be a pain to arrange.0

Day rates in E7 aren't that much higher than flat rates ... are they?Smiley_Dan wrote: »Wouldn't you also need a meter which supports two rates? If it's a rental that might be a pain to arrange.0 -
Sorry, the discussion was about heating water, I didn't see any mention of heating the house.
Day rates in E7 aren't that much higher than flat rates ... are they?
Why is it a pain, simple meter change surely??
The question posed in post#35 was:34 posts and nobody has suggested that you should get E7??? Why not???
Get E7, should heat you enough water for what you want at a 'reasonable' price.
The premium varies from company to company - but on the first I looked up(EDF) the flat rate was 11.645p/kWh and the day rate on E7 was 15.299p/kWh - a premium of 33%.
So the saving on E7 heated hot water would be dwarfed by the increase in space heating costs - unless NSH heaters were fitted.
Most companies charge to change a meter to E7, and having an E7 meter limits the amount of 'normal' tariffs you can have supplied.0
