Have you looked at the descriptors to see if you meet them? Are you capable of any work, perhaps with some adjustments?0
-
I dont know what to do actually.
It seems like the medical report is all contradicted and under mimes everything i told the nurse.
I told her i find it hard understanding things and need it spelt out to me in very simple terms, I told her i find it hard talking to strangers etc and understanding them, and also to talk very fast with no eye contact.
But she said i can do this fine. But at the same time she says i do have anxiety, surely this is a contradiction0 -
I think you need to speak to your GP and anyone else involved in your care.
You need to write down each descriptor that applies to you. When I filled in my ESA50, I did something like:
- descriptor
- why can't I do the activity (and possibly explain help needed)
- what happened last time I tried to do the activitySealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
50p saver #40 £20 banked
Virtual sealed pot #178 £80.250 -
So i went to the doctors this morning, and my doctor gave me a 8 week sick line and is going to write me a supporting letter.
I went to into job centre thinking they might have some sort of compassion since i just had my ESA claim terminated because i didn't score any points NO. First thing she said before anything, Is your going to need to go to working links.
Now back in february. I made a complaint about them to job centre manager and DWP social fund who fund work programs, Manager at my local job centre said all ties with working links would be cut i wouldn't need to go back.
So today i just told the advisor cancel my application and i walked out. Now what do i do, With the advisor just mentioning working links it turned my blood cold and the stress i have right now is unbelieve i have shakes my legs are all numb. with tingly sensation.
So now i dont have any valid claim for benefit. I live in a democratic country not some dictator or communist country where people force me to do things.
I've had enough with them...0 -
No one can force you to do anything, but if you want them to provide you with an income you'll need to follow their directions. Have you been on the WP in the past two years? If so it is standard to be referred back if you open another claim for JSA.0

I wonder if you contradicted yourself at the assessment. You told her you found it hard to communicate with people but seemingly communicated fine with her. One of the purposes of the assessment is to observe you, to assess communication difficulties, mobility difficulties for those claiming for physical reasons etc. If your actions differ from what you said or wrote on the form, the actions will be taken as fact.0 -
You have the same issues I had with my assessment for PIP.
I put on the form I have communication issues and I was fairly specific about they were (I don't speak to men I don't know due to a specific aspect of my PTSD) and like you I don't make eye contact with anyone- male or female. My assessor was female and so I managed to speak to her- even though she said herself I needed prompts to give suitable answers- and so they said I had no communication issues at all with anyone because I could communicate with a female assessor- not taking into account that if the assessor was male I would have refused to even look at them let alone speak to them.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -

The only way i was able to talk without any issues because i had it built up in my system that i was going to the "medical" And for some reason when i talk to someone whos in some sort official position i feel it easier to talk to a female. I feel males judge to much (i am male btw) i feel intimidated by male people. strange really.
I have asked for a mandatory reconsideration outlining everything i felt was wrong and the fact i have no been referred to mental health team.
My doctor is going to write me a letter so i can give it to ESA to support my claim.
I just cant believe JCP have ZERO compassion. It seems like as soon as you apply for JSA they treat you mean regardless of the situation. JSA is just to stressful for me to go on. And having people telling me i need to do something when i dont want to just drives me insane.0 -

We all have to do things we don't want to. The JCP is there to administer benefits according to a set of rules, compassion does not come into it because everyone has to be treated equally, excusing you from the WP would mean they would have to allow others not to go as well.
The descriptors are very specific. The one in question with regard to your communication issues is the social interaction descriptor and you do not meet the criteria as you can communicate with people you do not know, albeit with some difficulty.
Have you thought about if there is any work you can do, perhaps with adjustments? What work did you do before you became unwell?0 -

I didn't do any work, i left school and went to college for 4 years, Then became a carer until i had to give that up then claimed JSA.
But i've had anxiety and stress since school. but never had enough courage to actually go to a doctor and get help. it was the work program that basically made me go to the doctors and get the help because the stress became to much, Being under pressure and being forced to do something i cant do, it drove me insane.0
