ESA - ATOS Results Over Phone?

Just wondering why ESA would book an appointment with me over the phone about a week before the decision maker actually talks to me.
ESA called last thursday saying they have my results but cant discuss now and will discuss them with me 23rd July as a decision maker will call me then.
I went for an ATOS medical 9th july. I was told they don't normally give results over the phone and that they send out letters. Has anyone else this. Really worried to be honest. I got referred to mental health team. So if they put me off i don't know what ill do.
Any advice.

I think it's a new thing they are trying out, god knows why, the old system worked pretty well, this new system will just add so much admin work.
I think it's new because you are the second person that I have come across having a DM CB appointment being made for them. (I know I replied to you earlier on the forum, but this other person is from somewhere else.)
Ask them when they call you and report back here.0 -
could the DM be wanting to clarify something before making the decision?0

ok so basically the most likely reason is this.
ATOS probably did not reccomend you for SG or WRAG, but still gave you points, I expect the DM is looking for a reason to reward you ESA. So my advice is take the call as its likely your only chance to give your vocal evidence.
It is also possible they are finding you fit for work and are going to give you the blah blah about moving to JSA, but I would accept the call incase its the former.0 -
its not an uncommon thing i know a lot of people who have had this and there experiences where the DM wanted to ask them few more questions about how there illnesses effect them0

Well, For some strange reason i scored 0 points. I fail to understand how the points system works. It seems you either get 0 points of 15 points or more. How can they just give 0 points. it seems like they do this for the sake of it. I ended up hanging the phone up i was so annoyed.
It says on the letter. " we recognise that you have a disability or health condition but to get ESA you have to score 15 points or more."
So basically i just need to go on to JSA and suffer the extreme conditions of that benefit.0 -

You have to appeal. You have to do a reconsideration first and during that time, you're not entitled to ESA. If the reconsideration is unsuccessful, you then appeal and send in sick notes. You then get ESA during the appeal process.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I was sent the medical report from DWP and i was told to go through it and highlight the bits i think are wrong.
But i am actually finding it very hard to understand.0
