halifax debit card.

You are making assumptions that I knew that payment hadn't been taken on the 10th. To be honest with you I won't let it be that. If you think they are rambling posts then why bother to answer? Thanks for your unhelpful input. It has already been mentioned several times but you have chosen to overlook/ignore the fact that your direct debit payment date is down to when Talk Talk take the payment... NOT when the Halifax send it! Talk Talk would have had no idea what your bank balance was on that or any other day!!
If you only take one thing from these rambling, paranoid posts let it be that!!
If you say you had enough funds in place to pay the dd on the 10th, then why was there not enough money to pay the dd on the 15th if you knew full well the payment hadn't yet been collected??0 -
OP,
You appear to be in a minority of one on this issue. So, bearing in mind all that's been put to you, do you now accept that:
1. The issue is nothing to do with Halifax (because they simply release funds 3 days after TalkTalk submit their BACS DD batch file).
2. Your beef is therefore with TalkTalk, not Halifax
3. You need to keep a closer eye on your bank balance and reconcile more regularly?
If the answer to any of these is no, then I don't think there's any point in continuing the discussion.

Did you not notice the extra money in your account then between the date it was due to be taken and the date it actually went?
As several have already said its Talk Talk who take the money not the Halifax who send it.
It's your responsibility to keep a close eye on your account and in these days of internet banking that's not very difficult to do.0 -

It could have ended after the first reply if I'm honest...but you seem hell bent on blaming Halifax, rather than TalkTalk and yourself which is where the actual blame lies.fearkiesdeception wrote: »I thought this discussion ended a long time ago

Well we will see about that.YorkshireBoy wrote: »It could have ended after the first reply if I'm honest...but you seem hell bent on blaming Halifax, rather than TalkTalk and yourself which is where the actual blame lies.
Sorry conversation DEFINITELY CLOSED! if anyone wants to release there frustration, I think they should go to another thread and entertain themselves there. I am sure there are more important threads where the more useless posts can (not) benefit people there.0 -
I hope we will, when you come back with an update after logging formal complaints with both organisations. There will be a slice or two of humble pie waiting for you, so hope you're hungry!fearkiesdeception wrote: »Well we will see about that.
