I must say that I have known a few people lose a lot of weight, and harp on about it, and how much better they feel and look, and how 'if I can do it ANYone can,' and they get really massively full of themselves and their new body, their new image, and how super duper healthy they are.

Then they regain the weight. ;) Must admit, it amuses me greatly when this happens.

Not because I am a spiteful cow, but because they made such a song and a dance of losing it, and they spent so much time judging everyone who was still fat. So it serves them bloody well right, when they regain it all. It's hilarious when that happens IMO..

Snigger. I think this too, but secretly lol

I know a woman on a diet at the minute - and her personality has changed yes ---for the WORSE. Oh my god, she has become a complete diet bore - all she ever does is talk about food. all the time.

    It is tedious.

This person is a massive yo yo dieter, she looses a few stone and puts it back on, on a regular basis.

That is "materialism", and should not be applied to relationships IMO.

Not at all, when you lose weight it does give you a massive surge of confidence. I know when I was really big I put up with someone I didn't really want to be with and I know I will get flamed for it but I never made him happy anyway so losing weight was the catalyst we both needed to move on.

OMG, are you serious? So obviously, now you're not so fat, this person you were with when you WERE fatter, is not good enough for you now?

And you say you're not shallow?! :rotfl:

No, I am saying I wasn't happy before I lost weight for years with him and nor was he with me, but losing the weight FINALLY gave me the confidence to break us both free from both of each other! He wasn't happy with me before I lost weight but he, like I, didn't see how we could both move on from each other, in the end my confidence was what did it and it worked out for the best on both sides!

And just to add, this was a man that made constant remarks about my size calling me fat and "who would ever want you" and "you'll never lose weight" So I did, it is a simple as that. I thought I will show you and I did ( I must add I didn't lose weight just because of that, I lost it because I was worried about my future health) So no, I am not shallow or a nasty cow that dumps someone just because I look different, it was because I realised what a nasty person he was for the constant comments, even though we had met I had been bigger!
