Nationwide contactless cards

I don't really get the hype if I'm honest. It's not that much faster than putting 4 numbers in, and I always spend few seconds time I've saved as extra time waiting for the coffee or packing bags in M&S. Plus, some people have had issues (not putting the card in the right place on the machine, card reader saying 'declined' but the Co-op assistant saying it's gone through and letting you walk out the shop).
But on occasion it does make people feel special. A little wizardry never hurt anyone, and it can make you feel like Harry Potter. If you want, you can whisper 'Payaramious' when you use it for the first time. Not so loud so that Muggles can hear, mind.
Ha ha such sarcasm and wit, I actually find contactless very useful especially as I hate carrying money and loose change. A local shop where I live has a limit when paying by card and via the chip and pin method of £5 so if spending less than this you need to be carrying physical money.
However if you pay by contactless then the shops limit of £5 doesn't apply as the shop keeper says he doesn't get charged a fee for accepting contactless payments.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

Was that for a Flex Account or FlexDirect / FlexPlus account?takewhatyoucan wrote: »All new FlexPlus and FlexDirect account customers will be supplied with a contactless card. We'll let you know when this service also becomes available to FlexAccount customers."0 -
Just got my own flex plus through the post today and its a Contactless card.
I applied last Wednesday and the most funniest part is that I received a letter asking for ID yesterday and My PIN same yesterday.
Today here is my card. just waiting for the login bits. I will post my documents today anyways.Aqua Advance £ 9500 ( Settled ) | BC Platinum Card 25/25 £10500 | 24 studio £1950 | SimplyBe £1800 | Nationwide Flexplus A/C OD £800| Meaningless Noddles score= 3/50 -
That's a shame I thought they might have moved away from the silver logo which on my card seems to rub off very easily0

Yeah on my old card the silver nationwide bit rubbed off very easily and all that was left was the logo before the bit that says nationwide. They don't make debit cards like they used to.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
