Okay, will continue to ignore.
Thanks0 -
Agreed, they've referred to terms and conditions not byelaws, it's a civil matter so ignore them.Je suis Charlie.0

Was it "fluttering ticket" etc, or was it non payment of the fee. In the former case I sympathise, but not in the latter.0

Curious as to what "worthwhile cause" Forestry Commission income goes to? Are you under the misapprehension that the Forestry Commission is some kind of charity? Or are you of the opinion that carpeting Britain's uplands with sterile forests of alien conifers is a worthwhile cause?Je suis Charlie.0 -
There was an image of a FC Scotland/PE sign posted here a while back and IIRC it made no reference to any bylaws whatsoever0

There is the outside chance that the "alien conifers" may be a sanctuary for red squirrels .....Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.0 -
"Curious as to what "worthwhile cause"...."
Usually FC pay car parks are in places where they have bike trails, walking trails etc. They have to be maintained, and parking income helps. Ultimately I suppose it's the taxpayer who loses out if people don't pay though.0 -
Here is a link to the previous sign - no mention of byelaws, only T&Cs

So if the OP's ticket is from a car park with the same sign, then ignoring is the viable option.0 -

Sorry but any org, no matter how worthwhile deserves everything they get for aligning themselves with irredeemable scummers like PE.
And yeah, the old social policy of the FC ended with the 1970s - they have been a wholly moneymaking concern since then. Between 2007 and 2011, thet made a £28-million profit off land sales!0
