If you paid with a card you might be able to try them ? if they cover ebay buys. I dont know what card companys stance is on failed deliverys :-(
It isn't a failed delivery though, it is theft of a parcel after deliveryI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I check with neighbours and bins etc, I have contact seller and said I will happily help if they claim against the courier.
I paid via PayPal.
I have tried contacting the courier myself but there's Nothing I can do, sender has to claim.
I am hoping the driver is a lazy driver and just wrote that on the tracking to avoid coming around, fingers crossed.0 -

Is it very frustrating, I checked theirs too and their sheds :S they probably thought I was bonkers lol.
This is partly why I have to avoid ebay sellers using a couple of "couriers" on ebay.
I have had failed deliverys a few times. When it happend from a another site, they said sorry & resent the item right away.
BUT when it happened on ebay, paypal & ebay INR claims are focused on proof of delivery status. So the buyer ends up at the mercy of the seller because (some) couriers wont let the buyer claim, but since ebay sellers/buyers dont seem to trust one another thats a bad situation to end up in :-(0 -

Unfortunately the fight for lowest delivery costs leads to courier companies expecting to get good workers who will walk half a mile with a 30kg box and get paid 50p for doing it..0 -
but I could have washed my hands of it as the case was closed in my favour.

Yes I agree, but since some of the ebay sellers will do that, I cant risk buying from ebay sellers using couriers with that business model.
I think I read that one of them had dropped it from 50p to 35p, but I cant find where I saw it, so might be rubbish.0 -
Dont think the buyer has had his item stolen, because he has not recived it
It has been delivered to the property the buyer requested. That's "received". To be "received" the parcel doesn't actually have to get to the person, just the delivery address. Otherwise posting stuff through letterboxes just wouldn't work as a delivery method.
Therefore the buyer has received the item, and then had it stolen from his/her property, and so the theft should be reported to the police.0 -
I was also frustrated when I checked my tracking at work to see a parcel had been left in my porch. I don't have a porch!!!
It seems there wasn't an option for "shoved in hedge".Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
